Kreg KKS1020 Clamp Trak

receved it today clamps work well with the runner its like having a extra pear of hands

I ordered this product on the 3rd of March 14. and I am highly delighted with it. It is well made in the u.s.a. and now that it is fitted to the worktop that I have made for me to use it on, I am very pleased with what it can do. I have now ordered a second one of the same to extend it to make bigger projects. the only draw back I found is that Kreg.com don,t make them 48" only 36" but that dose not stop me from giving 5 star service. Toolman are one of the best for service that I have bought Kreg tools from and I would recommend this product to anyone who is in the woodworking profession. Good luck.

A USEFUL RAIL SYSTEM, FOR CLAMPING WORK PIECES TO THE BENCH, WHEN USED IN CONNECTION WITH MAXX CLAMPS. WORKS WELL.

Built a new workbench top and with limited space available to me I bought 2 of these to give me better usage of my workspace. Easy to install and rock solid! Brilliant so far, now going to get a couple more 3 and 6" clamps!

I hesitated for a good while before buying these based on their price which I still think is a little high. I spent some time chasing around the web looking for a more reasonably priced aluminum extrusion that would work but came up empty. So, I bought two of these and mounted them on a double thick base of 3/4 maple plywood. I gave the top panel several good coats of water-borne varnish and that seems to keep glue from sticking. I went with plywood rather than melamine/mdf to reduce the weight since I made my fixture 38 x 40 inches which is a bit longer than the traks in both directions. I used a drill press to keep the holes on the correct spacing so the track would fit. I drilled 1/4" holes and had no trouble sliding the track over the bolt heads but I suspect that it might be a bit trickier to slide the trak on if you drilled the holes without a drill press. In that case it might be worth oversizing the holes slightly. I used 1/4 x 1-1/4" machine bolts with the heads on the top side where the Klamp Trak would slide over them and flat washers on the underside. I put my bolts on 3 inch spacing rather than the 4 inch that Kreg recommends as the minimum. I also put 3/4" cleats alongside the rows of bolts. Those cleats allow the clamp table to slide up tight to the edges of my router table. One wood screw thru the clamp table and into my router table (which has a heavy ply top) holds the whole show in place tightly. The Kreg Traks are definitely high quality and a substantial extrusion. They are not anything like standard T-track which would get instantly bent by the force of the clamps. I just did a whole kitchen worth of face frames with this setup and it worked very well. Still think they're a bit expensive but but they're worth it..

Very sturdy and works well. I cut a dado rail into my work bench and clamped it down from underneath. Took a while to arrive and more expensive than other tracks, but worth the wait and cost.
