Being as this is food grade would it work for seasoning cast iron pans? If you don't know please don't waste either of our times by responding.

Mineral oil is not suitable for seasoning cast iron cookware.

Cleaning alabaster is this product safe?

I don’t think so. I googled cleaning alabaster stone & it did NOT say to use mineral oil. I used this on my wooden cutting boards. I clean them really well, let dry, sand them with sandpaper to smooth out cuts & remove any food residue. Then apply this oil since it’s food grade & safe to eat the food that you cut on the board. Alabaster stone is a soft, porous stone & can be damaged easily. Googling the cleaning & care offers a lot of info.
