Worth the money
It's not a bad knife, considering the price. It did NOT come razor sharp as advertised. It came with a barely functional edge, it took me an hour to get it to a useful edge. I'm planning on reprofiling the entire edge and sharpening the top swedge when I have a few hours to spare. The sheath was super tight; it was very difficult to sheath this knife, and even more difficult to unsheath it. It's made of very thick leather, so soaking the sheath until it softens, them letting it dry with the blade inside (wrapped in saran wrap to avoid rust) will likely fix this issue. And lastly, there's no clip or loop to affix or anywhere on your person. I'm sure I'll figure something out eventually. Until I do, I'll just tuck it in a pocket to carry it. The knife itself (aside from it's factory edge) is quite useful for most cutting tasks. It's not big or thick enough for things like batoning wood or other heavy duty tasks, but for household chores, like food prep, cutting boxes etc, or for cleaning/dressing fish/game, and especially for self defense, its fantastic. The size and profile of this knife makes it ideal for self defense. For $50, it's great, as long as you don't mind putting a little work into making the knife usable.

Rough but good
It is pretty rough around the edges but that being said it is a cool knife. I would highly recommend it if you want a western feeling kit .

Lovely to handle.
Handy little knife. I love the feel and balance of the thing. It is fun to play with. the scabbard is a bit brown in the light. The knife had a sharp edge but, like many of windlass products it has a kind of a thick edge and significant secondary bevel. I wish they would grind their blades with a better edge profile. I will eventually file down the bevel slightly to give it a more acute edge. However, the product was as described and exactly what I expected. Could be more refined but then it would cost more...

Smaller than advertised
Blade is smaller than advertised,is a beautiful knife and grear scabbard, just wish it was 15 1/8 like advertised, just a little over 9 inches, i know it says boot knife but then i wouldn't have bought it if i knew it was only 9 inches, im looking for a full sized bowie and i thought i found a deal but still a good knife though it did not come "Razor Sharp" but that can be fixed, im keeping, 4 stars for false advertising.
