A waste of money
Like everyone who's looking at chromium and the claims that it will help regulate your blood sugar, I jumped right in. Besides, it was a great price, right? My HgbA1C has been hovering at the high end of normal so I'm concerned and I had high hopes that a supplement of some kind could help. It's my fault for not researching this more before buying. After reading the Endocrine study on chromium, what I bought is at least garbage and might even be harmful. From a double-blind study over 6 months (www).Endocrine Practice. org concluded: "Chromium supplementation does not appear to ameliorate insulin resistance or impaired glucose metabolism in patients at risk for type 2 diabetes and thus is unlikely to attenuate diabetes risk." What's worse is - Chromium supplements might interact or interfere with medicines that you take, such as: Metformin and other antidiabetes medications which can cause the blood sugar to drop too low, levothyroxine (thyroid), NSAIDs such as Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Naproxen, etc.
