I was a bit sceptical about how well this would perform as it was quite cheap but I was pleasantly surprised by it. There aren't really any useful instructions so you have to figure out the best positions for the peeler and the corer/slicer blade. Once you've got these right, apples are peeled really thinly so there is very little waste, and they are then cored and sliced. It does this very quickly and you end up with lovely evenly sliced apples with very little wastage. Potatoes can also be peeled but you need to remove the slicing blade if you want whole potatoes. Be great for sliced potatoes though. Spare peeler and slicer blades are provided. The clamp/sucker thing sticks well to very smooth surfaces (like my granite) but not sure how well it will stick to other surfaces. I have used this machine to process loads of apples this season and it has saved me hours of laborious hand peeling. I can't yet comment on how robust the peeler is but, as it not that expensive I woudn't complain at having to buy a replacement in the future. This is one of those things that I really wish I had bought years ago!

Great piece of simple kit to process apples 🍎 highly recommended. Depth of throat in device may struggle with very large apples, however out of 4 buckets just done i had no issues. Pay attention to set up of blade, centricity and gap (amount of skin it removes). Makes a laborious job into child's play. Once the apple is processed just cut through hole and falls apart into ready to use pieces for tarts ect. I shake a bit of brown sugar and cinnamon on mine, into a cast iron large roasting tray 189 deg C for 20mins, they soften but hold firm, into freezer bags flat for easy freezing, ready from baking on demand. We had a whole tree full of apples this year and this little tool helped us chop and peel them quickly. Struggles a little with very large apples as they apple doesn't turn so well and then the metal 'claw' that hold the apple can come loose inside the apple. All in all a very worthwhile purchase.

I am so happy I purchased this device. I had a lot of apples to peel from my trees and it peeled, cut and sliced through them with ease. I have also started using this to peel potatoes, I just unscrewed the nut so I could remove the corer part and it also works. It's very easy to use, sometimes a little tricky to get the item off the prongs but I would consider that a good thing that its secure, I find wiggling it a little helps if needed. I would note that this device does NOT peel things perfectly, you always have to remove skin at both ends with a knife (which I do not mind) and if the item you are peeling is uneven it will struggle to peel it correctly, still, it gets the bulk of the work done for you. I also like that it does not take too much of the fruit away while it peels, just the right amount of skin. It's easy to clean, usually I just rinse mine off after use. It doesn't take up a lot of room in the kitchen. I have been using this for a few weeks now, with use most days and there's no difference from when I bought it besides a little paint ware. I would recommend if you find yourself peeling a lot and want an easier way to do it.

Dangerous! Got 2 nasty cuts just setting it up. No blade guards. Poor instructions. Personally, I would not recommend based on safety.

I quite like this. It has great novelty value, but practically, it's not as useful as I hoped it would be. If you like very uniform shaped apples and potatoes then this it the product for you. If your apples are not symmetrical and your potatoes have nobbly bits, then it probably isn't. It works a dream on my granny smiths and occasionally pears (as long as they are of exactly the right ripeness - otherwise you end up with a load of mush). I particularly like the spiral cutting as it saves ages when I'm dehydrating apple and have to cut them into thin rings. I have tried on several different types of potatoes and they all needed further manual attention afterwards. It's easy to set up and to change between the peel and spiral and peel only modes and easy to clean. The suction base works occasionally, but it's not really necessary. All in all, I'm glad I bought it, but I probably wouldn't bother to do so again. It's quite fun to use when it's working well and completely frustrating when it isn't.

Marvelous little gadget that is a real time saver - especially when the glut of apples has meant much peeling for sauce making and preparing apples for freezing. Takes a bit of practice to perfect using but I am delighted with it. It has good adjustability re thickness of peel and you can choose to just core, or just peel without coring.

Replaced a very old one we tried to manage without but it is so good to have one again, seems the same as the one we replaced and works well

I went apple picking and learned my lesson from previous years that peeling them by hand was not it. 😅 I purchased this ahead of time hoping it would make my life easier and it definitely did. Easy to use and works great.

Ich backe sehr gern Apfelkuchen, nur das Schälen der Äpfel war immer lästig. In einer Fernsehsendung habe ich gesehen, wie eine französische Großmutter Tarte Tatin gebacken hat und diesen Apfelschäler benutzte. Habe den Schäler sofort zugelegt und bin begeistert. Die Äpfel werden nicht nur geschält, sondern gleichzeitig entkernt und spiralförmig auf Scheiben geschnitten. Tolles Tool für alle, die gerne mit Äpfeln kochen/backen. Alle Teile sind aus Metall und mit Sicherheit lange haltbar.
