I just received this and I'm impressed. The rose wood is perfect, no splits in the grain or dings in the finish, nicely done. And I'm no expert on Damascus steel but the blade is outstanding. Great ladder pattern, appearance, you can run your finger over the steel layered over the V10 core. Supposedly if there is a stripe of dark grey down the spine and the rest of the blade it's real Damascus and this has it. Razor sharp, deploys with a snap, good lockup on the liner lock. I cleaned and oiled the blade and others reviewed that the "printed" Damascus rubbed off, I didn't experience any of that. Fit and finish are good. Overall just a beautiful looking knife

I bought it because it looked quite attractive and good quality. In these respects, it did not disappoint. Upon its unboxing, I liked it, but was uncertain to what degree. But the more I examined and handled it, the more I liked it. And now, after carrying it for the first time, I just love it. Nice Damascus steel. Nice wood. Seems like very good build and parts quality. Smooth functioning. Love the shape of the blade. Love the shape of the wood. Fits just perfect in the hand. Feels good in the hand. Good weight. Quality in both form and function. Love the overall look and feel––its overall aesthetic. It's become my favorite pocketknife out of the dozen or so that I own. This will now be my everyday carry knife. Paid $36. Amazing value. I ordered a second one as a spare. Should be good knife for frequent uses. High hardness core (cutting edge) sandwiched by tough outer layers. Core is not made from "ultimate" steel. The is fine for 99% of uses. It will get touch-up sharpen long before getting dull anyway. Outer layers are decorative only. Never-the-less, they are visually attractive and adds to pride of ownership. A torx wrench is even included in package. A real bargain overall.

The Damascus in this knife is very well done steel. Thad flipping mechanism is well gone and the detent is just right, blade sharpens well and edge retention is great detail fitment is excellent great knife and excellent

Bought a few Damascus steel pocket knives recently but this one is my favorite. Damascus steel and wood pattern is unique and beautiful, handle feel comfortable to hold, blade is sharp out of the box. Blade deployment is smooth with both flipper and thumb slot. Weight and size just right for my medium hands. Great quality for the price, I really like it and would buy again.

As usual my Ned Foss (high) expectations have been met, extremely sharp blade, good construction, the wood handles are sweet and comfortable. The damascus seems very well made. There is only a slight to flick it when opening, it's not the strongest assist I have seen, but that's part of each knife's character..some are easier than others.
