Nylabone Extreme Tough Dog Chew Toy, Double Bend Bone, Cleans Teeth, Bacon Flavour, Medium, for Dogs Up to 16 kg

The media could not be loaded. I got this for my 7 month old collie cross and she is loving it. Upon inspection it's very tough which was a worry since she likes to chew softer things like rope. She loves to rip apart toys but won't get through this quickly.I am amazed how she's taken to it. The bacon flavour must make it much more enjoyable and with it's twisted shape, it will help to keep her teeth clean and gums strong.It's is definitely worth the money just for how happy she is to be calm and chew away and enjoy some independence.

I don't normally write reviews for dog toys. Usually because a toy does not last long enough for me to even thing about doing a review. HOWEVER this is the best toy ever. My dog loves it. He plays with it the most out of all his toys and he has quite a few. I bought this having read the reviews and being desperate for a long lasting toy ( I have tried other toys that claim to be indestructible but are not). I like that this says "Extreme Tough Dog Chew" as I don't think any toy is indesutrtible for eager dogs. Thor is a springador 1 year old puppy (he is more like a lab as he is massive) and rips every single toy he gets to shreds easily. We are in the 3rd month and the toy is going strong. I don't think any toy has lasted as long (they usually last minutes). He loves toys but tears them up so i'm out a fortune buying toys. I will 100% be purchasing this toy again if it ever gets destroyed.

Actually quite good. I was worried after reading some reviews saying it broke after 5 mins etc. Had it few weeks now my Cavapoo is a heavy chewer so much worse than my old rotties and dogue de bordeux. Yet so far this is doing its job. Old chewers only lasted few days and cheap ones were dangerous but I haven't had a problem with this one. I can see larger breeds not being compatible with this chewer but my quite big for his breed Cavapoo is loving it.

I have a medium sized terrier cross breed. He's small but loves to chew and can chew through anything.He LOVED this toy! He threw it in the air for himself, rolled around with it - did much more than just chew.But he did give it a good chewing too! The ends are breaking off slowly, in small rice-sized pieces. I'm told this is safe. It's nice to know that there is even just a little bit of give in it.I'd say the toy will last a number of months which is good enough for me!Some reviewers have said their dog destroyed the toy within a day... all I would say is that I would not let my dog have this for more than 15 - 20 minutes at a time. It is very solid and I would worry about the dog hurting their teeth or gums. Plus, dogs should never be left with toys unsupervised so they shouldn't have them all day anyway.

This is my second one of these - first one I bought lasted around 8 months of dedicated chewing by my Rottie pup, and it's been pretty consistently her favourite toy

Why did you choose this product over others?:I haven't given this to my dog yet, so I don't know if it's tough etc, just wanted to share the size. I got extra small, it really is very small ! This is probably chihuahua size, so be aware when ordering.

We have 5 dogs and all of them absolutely love them and spend ages chewing them so must be good from a teeth point of view.They do get quite rough on the edges so do need chucking after a while as quite painful if they catch you with it.

I made a mistake buying these! I was looking for the small bone in this style & thought these couldn't be that much smaller! I couldn't find the small bone so ordered these. I've ordered the giant, large, medium, wolf, small & the differences between the sizes isn't all that much. I have this type in the wolf size & it's a bit big. I compared the wolf size bone to a small size ordinary bone shape Nylabone & the size difference wasn't that much so how much different could the Petite be? Loads lol! It really is tiny! The petite is 3" compare to 6" in the wolf! I bought this for my friends Lab who I often look after as a Christmas present because she liked our 1 so much but the wolf size was too big for her. She's a medium Lab but her muzzle is small & delicate. She'll probably appreciate it but I do think it'll be too small for her. Still it's the thought that counts. It's Nylabone, a brand I trust so I know she won't be able to damage it too much even if it's too small for her. She still plays with her puppy Nylabone & although this is smaller than a standard puppy Nylabone, I'm sure it'll last just as well as she's 8 years old! My dogs still have their puppy Nylabones from 7 years ago. In fact I don't think I've ever had to throw away a Nylabone because the dogs destroyed it too much, rather because my cleaning toothbrush can't clean off all the dirt anymore where they've buried it or dug it into the ground when they've been chomping on it! I usually use a nice strong solution of hibbiscrub to clean mine. I'd still recommend this even though it's on the small side for petite.
