Simply fine yeast
Yeast was perfectly viable and made great tasting mead. (I have been told that Lalvin K1-V1116 is the “Swiss army knife” of yeasts). It is incredibly well rounded.

I purchased this yeast for the first time to make alcoholic kombucha and it worked great.

Great wine making yeast
this type of yeast has a high alcohol tolerance and perks in a wide range of temps. My man cave isn’t climate controlled and this yeast produces consistent results. Your price was cheaper than the same product at my local beer supply store

My Go-To for Mead
I like to keep this yeast in the refrigerator for when I decide to throw a batch of something together and it never disappoints. This strain is incredibly resistant to temperature changes, which is a must if you're living in the southwest and have high temperatures during parts of the year and don't have climate control for your fermentation. I've used this to make IPA-knockoffs out of honey that are around 6% ABV, 12% meads that I've arrested the fermentation on with potassium sorbate, and a 16% mead that fermented to almost complete dryness. This stuff has very high attenuation and technically can ferment up to 18% ABV. With lower starting gravities, I've completed fermentations as low as 0.996, which is less dense than water. I'm really looking forward to trying to make wine with this strain eventually, as the price and the clean fermentation of this yeast are extremely attractive.

Yeast that rises above the rest
I only just put it in the batch but it seems high quality

Not a high alv
This yeast isn't the best to use if your looking for higher alcohol by volume in wine or mead. I do recommend getting the yeast nutrient to help it with the process depending on your style of brewing.

En mi caso ha mejorado la producción de fermentos como hidromiel y derivados respecto a levadura fresca de supermercado.

Pretty good value for this much yeast. I’ve made 3 different wines with this so far and have had no problems whatsoever! One thing to always be mindful of is temperature when you’re ordering yeast online, not ideal to have it sit on a doorstep at 35°C for a whole day!

I normally use the lalvin 118 but decided to give this a try after reading about it helping retain more flavour and gain higher abv. It's easy to use. If you add to a starter, make sure temp is 30-35C. The label says to make it a touch warmer but i found it was a bad start. Maybe too warm. It is picky about nutrients too. So make sure you do add yeast nutrients to your batch and will take off after 24 hours. I used this for a batch of Mead SG indicted a potential abv of 12% and it fermented completely to a sg of 0. Much faster and had more flavour than the usual 118 i ised before. It won't be to everyones preference. But well worth atry. If you aren't using it anytime soon store the sachets in the fridge to keep the yeast good. Good quality and value. Recommended.thank you for reading my review. I hope you found it useful
