These test strips are very functional. They’re easy to use with readable acceptable levels printed on the actual bottle.

This will not test your water for live bacteria, but it will show mineral composition and some harmful chemicals. I actually found out that a few natural springs in my area has unsafe levels of nitrates due to soil runoff with fertilizer from farms nearby. These could be a lifesaver! I have used them at about 10 different natural springs and have found varying results that have proven to be accurate upon further testing. These strips are the perfect basic test for safe water.

I have been using these for about six months. I was losing guppies and couldn’t figure out why so I figured this test can’t be right. I decided to spend the money for the big API one. The API was a little more precise but when I tell you this was in the ballpark, it was right there. So now I use these and if I’m worried, I’ll use the expensive one but, for a quick just checking on, These are amazing. I would’ve given them five stars, but sometimes the colors are a little tough to read, and that’s a pain in the butt.

Pretty straightforward in testing your water. We have a home filtration system and lots of deposits on our hardware. So I thought this would be a great way to figure out what exactly is the buildup on our black hardware! Works great! Now if it could only clean the white off the black hardware!

I bought these for testing the water in my new house as I couldn't figure out what was happening to my hair since we moved here. Also, my water felt like it was grainy. Before calling professionals in to test the water I wanted to do my own testing to make sure things matched up. Wow!! These strips showed I had VERY hard water with an extremely high ph and high chlorine content. That turned out to be true with having two professional tests done to confirm. I had a water softener installed but have continued to monitor the water with these strips.

I purchased this water test kit when I decided to move from buying water pack to investing in a reverse osmosis water filtration system; the good thing about water pack is that its cheap specially if you get the 40 pack from Costco but it's not sustainable on long term in my opinion. I get annoyed by water bottles hanging around the house, bottles being drunken half way and toast in the trash, etc, all these made me decide to get a reverse osmosis water filtration system, it may not be cheap to operate when you factor in the price for filters replacement so to expand my filters life span I like testing my water frequently using the water test kit and when the water quality from the reverse osmosis filtration system degrades I know it's time for descaling my counter top unit. The good thing about this product is that it's affordable and easy to use but I gave 3 stars because reading the testing strips can be a bit challenging in terms of clarity even with the testing chart provided; if you are looking for a way to test your home water, I recommend using a TDS meter, it's simple to use, read and more accurate in my opinion but full transparency a TDS meter doesn't tell what water contaminant is present in your water (at least the one I use) which this water testing strips do. A TDS meter will light up green for potable/drinkable water and red when the water is full of contaminants with numbers.

These test strips provide most everything you need to know BEFORE drinking the water from ANY source. I travel for work often, These test strips are ALWAYS in my suitcase. Hotel water? DONE! Lake Water? DONE! Rest Stop water? DONE! Traveling to other Countries? NO worries - Test BEFORE you DRINK! Bottled water? DONE!

It’s a good product, but it should come with help on how to lower or raise the levels.
