My father was a window cleaner his whole life and I remember he used to carry a brown lunch bag with pumice inside. When he had some really water stained glass windows to clean, he would use pumice with his bucket of water and used a window brush that had 7 different hairs from different animals. He would dip the brush into water and then touch the tips of the brush into the pumice powder and wash the windows, then squeegee the windows clean and boy, they did shine in the sun!
