This kite eliminated my swallow problem!
My sailboat attracts a lot of birds. In the late summer, early fall, there are large flocks of swallows that come together before migrating. They seem to really like sitting on every line on the boat and their discharge must be really acidic as it stains badly. 100 birds can make a real mess. I've tried plastic hawks (the swallows sit on it), reflective confetti, old CD disks, but nothing worked. While sailing in Canada I saw one of these kites flying above a dock. Of all the docks in the area, this one had no geese sitting on it, no otters, no white bird poop to speak of. it seemed worth the small cost of the kite. On the day that I put the kite up, I chased away about 50 swallows from the rigging of the boat. I positioned the kite off the stern since the boat at anchor normally points into the wind. It's been a week and I haven't seen a single swallow around the boat at all. The kite bobs all over the place. Not sure how realistic it is or whether one color is better than another, I'd guess that just the movement is enough. The neighbors even find it amusing! Seems to work well and thus a great value for the money. Try putting it on the end of a piece of plastic pipe for some additional flexibility and movement.

Works great
This thing really does work. I had about 50-60 chickens and I had hawks circling and chickens going missing but after I put this up I stoped losing them. The pole did break in a storm but it’s so long I was still able to use it. If u use the rope it will get tangled in the wind I found it best to just clip it straight to the pole and it still worked.

Works to keep birds off dock
Really liked the look and effectiveness of keeping geese off our pier. Only lasts one season as the wind tears it apart. It tends to get tangled a lot too.

Bad instructions, possible pieces missing
Instructions not clear, and it looks like pieces are missing. The picture in the instructions has multiple black pieces, while the actual product only has 4. The part to hammer into the ground has a screw hole that doesn’t like up with the one on the larger black piece. Tried looking at the video they linked in the instructions, and it doesn’t help. It also shows more than 4 black poles. Even if we could get the screw holes to line up, the next black pole slides out of the largest one too easily, and would not withstand a large gust of wind.

It works! No more birds pooping on our pool deck!
We were plagued with birds popping all over our pool and deck this year. Our whole neighborhood was having problems, which had never happened before. We installed this - it seemed like a goofy idea, but we were desperate. It worked! All of our neighbors still have problems, but we haven't had any since the day we put it up. Definitely worth the money! If I have any complaint, it would be that the swivel on the end of the pole isn't very effective. We have to "unwind" it off the pole every couple days. We shortened the strung which had helped a lot.

Ok for sporadic use - don’t count on them for regular use.
I’ve had these kites for about six months now and I’ve given them a respectable amount of time to test them out. Honestly, I cannot recommend them to anyone unless they either have cash to burn or will only use them sporadically. We used these to TRY to keep birds off our dock. The kites worked great for two months! However, after the sun started to break down the kite fabric and/or a good gust of wind or two caused the kites to crash into the dock causing the plastic kite ribs to break, the kites ceased being able to fly and they just kind of hang upside down now. If the company could invest in better fabric and kite ribs made of thicker plastic (so they could take a crash or two), then I think these would be worth the money.

Needs alot of wind to make it move
Packaging was very nice and professional. Kite is well made and makes a great sound when manually moved from side to side. QR code for assembly was helpful as well. Had to look at other tutorials tho in English. I agree with one reviewer that that polel just isn’t long enough for the kite to catch wind and not catch itself on its own pole. I shortened the string by half and mounted it on a 7’ stake. It’s hanging out waiting for a nice breeze or wind to come by. I heard more red shoulder hawks today so I’m not sure if it’s inviting them or make them made. Took apart today to return and the fiberglass rod is thin and flakes. I hate fiberglass in my skin and this made me market down even lower.

Works exceptionally well for deterring geese. We have a lakefront property with a lawn which the geese constantly destroyed and since installing the kite they won’t come near the dock or lawn. Ducks not so much but they don’t eat the grass or fertilize the lawn. BTW it withstands high winds.

The item came missing the pole so it was useless and wouldn't fly
