(Please note that I am not Muslim, but of ... well ... I'm Shinto ... but I wish to have understanding of other followings; it's something that is a part of understanding of each person's perspectives, beliefs, values, and culture.) The Qur'an received came well packaged with care and respect (which I always desire from a seller sending sacred texts). No translation is 100% accurate, but from what I researched, this is an extremely common translation that is well enjoyed. Portable and easily can be kept in good condition. I do have multiple Qur'an to study with to continue to understand Islam (along with the other Abrahamic followings-- Christianity and Judaism), offering differing perspectives and I found this one quite nice to actually read through. Print is a little small, but what would you expect with a pocket sized Qur'an?

This Quran feels good in the hand. The pages have a good thickness. The cover is sturdy. The book is small but thick, so it will be a bit bulky in a pocket but great for suitcases or small bags. Font size is great. Footnotes are nice to have. Keep in mind that this translation is a bit on the radical side, with parenthetical additions that don't reflect the original Quran. Still, it's good to see all perspectives.

ALHAMDULILAH! this is THE english language quran. the footnotes, commentary, backround stories etc are the gold standards 2 which all other english translations must be compared. i prefer th marmaduke picktall trans for its smooth poetic feel, but this is THE authoritative english version. the usual version of alQuran owned by american converts is th yusef ali trans, but he was a CHRISTIAN so that trans IS FOR CHRISTIANS NOT FOR MUSLIMS. WHY SO MANY AMERICAN IMAMS NEVER EXPLAIN THAT IS EXPLAINED BY ALQURAN ITSELF, of course & every muslim who actually reads their book knows what the answer to that error is. Allahu akbar!

This Qur'an is not only widely recommended throughout the Muslim Community and the Saudi Governmentm chances are if you are in any Islamic country this is the Qur'an found in most places. I have read other translations of the Qur'an and this by far is my Favorite one I am a revert Muslimah and this to me is very clear and understandable.There is no 100% accurate translation of the Qur'an because there is not a 100% accurate translation of Arabic language into English to truly get the most out of Islam and the Qur'an one should learn the Arabic dialect.
