Star Wars X-Wing StarFighter, Bandai Star Wars 1/144

Beautiful and well crafted by Bandai, these small palm kits offer unparalleled detail in minute scale if you arr short on space to display. Sasly though, these come with stickers and not water slide decals so it would be best to make some decals or find viable aftermarket ones to improve the markings.

Bought as a present for my eldest son who had all the original model toys when he was aged 5, but over the years lost them one by one. So I decided to remind him of his younger years. Greatest Present I have had for a longtime he said with a smile on his face.

Tiny kit but so well made, and well thought out. No decals but stickers are ok. Buy a few and have a fleet of these attacking the star destroyer

Great model kit.. Was a little fiddly to put together but my old eyes definately didnt help.

Molto bello però diventi cieco a vedere le figure stampate all'interno dello scatolo per montarlo. Un foglio chiaro a parte aiuterebbe moltissimo.

Here we have Luke’s “Red Five” T-65B X-Wing starfighter. I love these Bandai Model Kits. Being an avid Star Wars and action figure collector, I started with the great Bandai Kits like the Stormtrooper, Shoretrooper, Death Trooper sets, worked my way into some of the Droid sets, and now I’ve gotten into the Vehicle sets. These mini kits are great because the detail is still fantastic, the builds are easy, and if you just do your own paint deco, you can make these look like source accurate models. The build itself shouldn’t take you very long, minutes really. For me the decals (stickers) are what take the longest and is often the most difficult part, especially in this smaller scale. Placement of some of the decals and how they wrap around pieces can get difficult, but if you’re patient you shouldn’t have any issues. Weathering, paint deco, etc usually takes me a few hours since I don’t have an air brush and I do a coat of primer, (in this case grey and then white) before I even started building so it was a process. But I enjoy the process, these kits don’t require glue so that’s a plus. As I’ve gotten better at painting these, I’ve just grown to enjoy these kits more and more. Note that the S-foils can be put down or up in attack position. Another huge upside to how easy these are and that they don’t require glue, is that they’re dirt cheap. These mini kits are about $8 each. This model kit comes FULLY APPROVED.

5 Sterne reichen nicht aus. Der Detailreichtum ist phantastisch für dieses kleine Modell, es ist günstig (für diese Präzision und Qualität ist es zu diesem Preis schon fast geklaut), wurde schnell geliefert (obwohl es aus Japan kam), und ist in dieser Größe kein Riesenprojekt, an dem man ewig herumbastelt. Es ist nahezu unglaublich welchen Detailgrad die Japaner an so ein winziges Stück Plastik zaubern. Sogar die S-Folien (Flügel) lassen sich nach dem Zusammenbau öffnen oder schließen. Ich würde (und werde) dieses Modell jederzeit wieder kaufen und mir definitiv die anderen kleineren Modelle von Bandai zulegen. Die Konkurrenz kann sich hier eine große, fette Scheibe abschneiden. Für Star Wars Fans ein absoluter Pflichtkauf! Trotz der Größe ist der Detailgrad sicher besser als bei manch einem der größeren Modellen. Es könnte sich hier beinahe um eines der kleinen Modelle handeln, die in den alten Filmen zum Einsatz kamen. Die einzige Stelle, an der das Modell nicht absolut phantastisch aussieht, ist die Stelle zwischen den Flügeln, aber das ist jammern auf einem sehr, sehr, sehr hohen Niveau. Weniger als 5 Sterne kann man hier nicht geben.
