Works great!
The first one I received wasn't working properly but before I could even send it back, BLKES reached out to me and offered to send a replacement, which arrived in two days! The replacement pump has been working PERFECTLY! I captured 22 gallons of rainwater when a thunderstorm passed by and since it came off the roof, it was cloudy and full of dirt accumulated over the past year. I ran all of it through this pump and it was as clear as tap water! I've been using it to water the plants in my greenhouse and they love it! If I go out into the desert, this will always go with me so I can filter any water source in an emergency. I know of some springs on some trails I walk and I've always wanted to try the water, but I wouldn't do so without first filtering it and this little guy gives me a mobile pump to do so! Awesome! Highly recommended!

This will save you time and money on other filter that just aren't worth it.
Bought this a year ago for SUP camping. Have used it 6 times, after I get home I always flush it out. It's worked amazing every time. Been using a msr hand pump for years, way better.

I love this thing
You don't have to sit there and pump like with my old one, It has a light so you can set up in the dark, it has a pre-filter and a main filter which is awesome as my old one had a small piece of packing foam over the intake. It also serves as a power bank so you can charge other stuff with it. I walked away from mine and forgot about it for about 10 minutes or so and it not only overflowed the 2 gal container I was filling but it left a huge puddle under it and was still running. I used it in a pond and the water tasted fine.

Not a desalination device
Only 4 cuz it won’t filter out salt; which is the main thing I needed it for.

DESERVES TEN STARS
WOW !!! I don't know where to begin … this deserves ten stars so far. Since there is no verifiable information on how effectively the filters in this product eliminate the Bacteria/Protozoa/Cyst/Microplastics etc, I have decided to add a small Sawyer filter in-line just before the pump. To mu surprise the contraption worked outstandingly well, pumping a whole liter of water in 2 minutes and 7 seconds from 5.5 feet below. This way the filters inside the pump will never get contaminated and the Sawyer filters will always be available. And, according to the available information, Sawyer Filters are rated up to 100,000 gallons . Yes. I replaced the original intake hose with 6 feet of food grade tubing thereby giving me a greater reach if I ever need it in the wilderness. To sum it up: this pump sucks big time , AND IT IS A GOOD THING !!! ++++++++++++ I took the filter on a recent hiking trip. We pumped over two gallons from a distance/height of over seven feet. The pump functioned flawlessly Everyone agreed the water tasted much better than their tap water. I am VERY, VERY happy with this product. AND: it used less than 1/4 of the charge - three out of four lights remaining.

Trust previous reviews. Don't do it.
I read the reviews before I bought this that said the pump would automatically turn on by itself and you couldn't turn the light off or stop it from flashing. I assumed this was a fluke and not the norm. I was wrong. I ran the device for about 10 minutes after I purchased it to clean out the filter before taking it on a back country trip. It seemed to work okay, other than not producing a steady stream of water. After I took the hoses off and tried to charge it, it wouldn't show that it was charging. I turned the light on to make sure it wasn't completely dead, and then it completely malfunctioned. The light wouldn't turn back off and the pump would sporadically turn on. The light just kept flashing. I believe the issue is that although instructions tell you to fill the top cartidge area with water to prime the pump, water spills across the top once you put the cartridge back in and short circuits the electronics. The idea of this is great but the reality is that it is made too cheaply to actually work. Don't buy this. The description says that it's splash proof. It's been determined, this is a lie. In the end, I could not get it to turn off, despite putting it in front of a blow dryer for an hour. I had to sit it in the backyard for fear that it would burn my house down.

Nice, powered filter device, easy to charge via USB
Nice, powered filter device, easy to charge via USB, filter works well. I use this to pump lake water into my RV as potable water. Takes about 15 minutes to filter 5 gallons and still has plenty of charge. Back flow the filter when done. Good to go.

I finally had a chance to use this filter and I was stoked. I could not get the oring to seat properly and it leaked. You need to prime it before use so you can’t avoid opening the filter every time. I’m past my 30 days so I’m screwed however in my opinion DO NOT buy. Wasted a $100.

Received on January 18, by February 15 I was having issues with it. It worked great the first few times I used it. Then it started struggling to pump up water. I once accidentally pressed the light button instead of the power button and the SOS signal would not turn off until the battery died. It also started randomly turning on. We could be sitting in the living and then hear it start up in the kitchen. I contacted the seller asking for troubleshooting advice. Instead, they offered a refund at my own shipping cost and since I no longer have the original box, they said Amazon might add on a fee. So not sure it’s worth it.
