Confused, Disappointed, and Annoyed with New “CITW”
Is teaching a profession? Really, that is how you start a book that is targeted for teachers!!! I am a total believer and implementer of CITW, but this is NOT CITW. The title of this book is riding the coattails of CITW. I found the book to be extremely dry and confusing and I’m annoyed that the authors attempted to say it is CITW. The “new” strategies are wordy and not easy to remember: “Visualizations and concrete examples” and “Guided initial application with formative feedback.” And to top it all off some of the references are older than I am because they are from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s! Wish our principal would have saved the money because the professional colleagues that I have spoken with have agreed with me that we will stick with the “old” CITW.
