Genmitsu CNC Router Machine 4040-PRO for Metal Acrylic Cutting Milling, GRBL Control, Lead Screw Driven, 3 Axis Engraving, Working Area 15.7” x 15.7” x 3.1”

Setup was quick and very easy, this is actually the second I purchased because I like the first one so much. It is very user friendly even if you’re a beginner, it produces professional quality results. I purchased upgrades for this machine to include x and y axis extension and routers as well. I had one issue with one of my offline controllers but customer support was excellent and quickly replaced the defective controller. I am impressed with the quality of machine you get for the money, their customer support is also top notch. I did my first carve right after I received and assembled my machine, it performed better than expected, lower noise level than other machines I’ve used, the carve was very precise and detailed and the machine is very solid with no detected play I. Any of axis.

I LOVE THIS MACHINE! This is the best machine for the money on the market period. Here is my story. First I bought the Fox Alien rubber band CNC which was a huge mistake. I was busy with other things so it sat there unused until I got to it. I found out the motherboard was bad, they replaced it and quickly, they even gave me their new 1/4" bit set as a sorry for the issue, which was nice. Then I tried to cut 1/8" cast acrylic plastic and it would not cut it! I added 5 passes to cut 1/8" plastic, and it still would not cut it. Meanwhile I am emailing them asking how to fix this. Their rubber bands would skip and destroy every cut I tried to make. I finally gave up and they would NOT give me my money back on their product. So I bought the Genmitsu 4040 Pro for less money. No rubber bands, just solid metal screw drive. Same exact stepper motors and this thing is a beast. I surfaced my cutting board since the Fox Alien destroyed it. It cut is so smooth it is like a mirror finish. I love this machine. It will cut and it is so accurate, I love this machine. Yes it is not as fast as the Fox Alien, but who cares, it actually works, it cuts and anything. If it fits into the machine it will cut it. Obviously you have to work within limits but this is a beast of a machine. I love it period. Yes I relocated the power to underneath it so I did not break it off, not sure why they have it sticking out the side, but who cares. This thing works so good, get one you will be happy you did.

Bought this to dip my toe into CNC. I've used it mostly to carve catcall trays, trivets, and cutting board stands using small bowl bits and end mills. Nice to turn this loose on a job while I do another things in my hobby shop. Assembly took me about 30 minutes. Tools to assemble where included, as well as some 30 degree vBits and some spare parts like extra homing switches. Documentation was easy to follow and all parts in the included container were labeled. The machine feels sturdy. The included spindle has ER11 collet, and I think the included collet insert was 4 mm? I purchased a 1/4 collet insert so that I could use bits that were more available to me. I've since upgraded the spindle to a Makita 701C router, which it handles just fine, just have to be aware that this isn't going to cut at 200+ inches per minute- i think max speed is like 78 inches per minute and I hesitate to push it that hard. For what I've used it for, it's been great. It's now a fixure in my shop, I've built an enclosure for it, added the dust boot, and plan to add the hybrid spoil board in the future. 4 stars because I don't see many spare parts for it on Sainsmart's website. Things like backlash nuts will eventually wear out and I'd prefer to go to the manufacture to get the replacements instead of hacking something else in there. I've had it for 3 months now and that is my only complaint.

This little CNC is great. I can do a lot of work using different CAD systems to create designs. I especially am enjoying a monthly subscription with Carveco that gives me access to a lot of good tutorials for producing lots of different designs, including things like inlays. I’m also using auto cad fusion 360 with good results. The one suggestion I have is that the provided spindle is pretty weak. I replaced it with a water cooled 2 hp spindle from Amazon and it can cut through anything. The carriage and drives seem to be very sturdy and allows me to get good cuts even with the larger spindle. I’ve also found that sainsmart customer service is great and very quick to send parts if needed.

Bijna 2 jaar geleden gekocht en ontzettend veel plezier van. Een uitstekende machine, makkelijk te monteren en (na enig inleeswerk) makkelijk te bedienen. Ik gebruik de CNC voor het maken van klokken: van de tandwielen tot de frames. Dit deed ik eerst met een electrische figuurzaag maar met deze CNC gaat het veel nauwkeuriger en sneller. Daardoor kan ik meer tijd besteden aan het ontwerp. Vooralsnog grotendeels met hout gewerkt maar recent ook met acrylglas. Machine is nauwkeurig, bijna onderhoudsvrij (af en toe even smeren) en heeft een mooi werkbereik. Sainsmart heeft een goede klantenservice voor zowel technische vragen als aftersales. Mijn Z-probe werkte niet meer en ik kreeg gratis een nieuwe toegestuurd. Uitstekende service!
