Q: Does this test ph levels and orb

I must correct my last response. I got confused as to which instrument it was. It does NOT test pH just conductivity. It is accurate at testing for conductivity though. Good instrument. Sorry for confusion

Its an Excellent product. Have it for a good while.

Q: Is anyone else having the experience that this device locks up every few readings? I have to remove the battery and reset.

If you leave it on hold too long (several minutes), it locks up and needs battery removal to reset. Otherwise works perfectly, I am a field geochemist and it matches up very well with laboratory conductance measurements. Make sure you hold it in the water for 20-25 seconds so that the temperature measurement stabilizes, the temperature of the sensor has to cool or warm to the actual water temperature. I put my finger over the hold button, immerse the end, wait 25 seconds, push hold, read it, then turn it off. It comes on immediately but does need to match temperatures to get corrected reading for conductivity.
