Great value for what it can do
This is a really effective garden tool. Mine still works after a year of hard use, including cutting branches of more than 80mm diameter. It is beginning to get a bit temperamental, but bearing in mind the value that I have got out of it, I can't complain. I will be buying another. It is light, fast and cuts surprisingly big branches.

Absolutely amazing.
We just cut a large number of branches off a medium-sized tree in our back garden (with a manual saw). That took several hours and an awful lot of effort. Then, I realised I'd need to cut each of those branches 8-10 times each (into manageable pieces for transport to the local dump) - so far I'd only had to cut them each the once!Enter the Bosch Keo, which I then ordered and used to clear the mountain of tree branches littering my back lawn. For branches up to a couple of inches thick, this is the perfect tool. Cuts through almost like butter. I think it's easiest with the supplied guard in-place, as this helps to keep the blade straight and makes cutting optimal, I find. Other reviewers have discussed using this saw for much larger branches - I think that is a mistake. This saw simply isn't designed for that. Likewise, for really small twigs (5mm or less), a pair of good seceteurs is best. Why did I choose this? Firstly, Bosch is always the highest quality. This product definitely lives up to that expectation. The second reason was that it has no mains cord. Climbing up a ladder to cut tree branches, I frankly don't trust myself with a coord dangling behind me.In summary then, perfect for small (1/2 inch diameter or more) to medium (2 inch) diameter branches. I wish I had bought this years ago.NB I have not tried cutting anything else - e.g. plastic, metal, etc.

Light, Cordless and Effective
The goodCuts very wellLight and easy to useMakes short work of branches up to 2-3 inchesThe badBattery lifeDamp woodThis saw is an impressive lightweight electric battery-powered saw that is perfect for small tree branches and other lightweight cutting tasks. The saw can cut through small branches within a few seconds and the branch hook can easily be removed for larger branches. For reference some things I have used this for include cutting a door in half, cutting wooden ladders, Christmas tree and small apple tree branches. One thing to be aware of is it does not use the multi-use Bosch battery that comes with the Bosch drill which was disappointing. The saw uses its own built-in battery which I would estimate does not have more than 15 minutes of continuous cutting time. The blade included is very good on dry wood, but would not recommend it for damp wood as it did struggle with some thicker logs.Overall this product does what it is designed for very well, at a reasonable price point. Blades are easy to replace so should be a reliable saw you can use for garden maintenance for a long time.

A good investment for the garden and toolshed.
This is a new purchase so I haven't used it exhaustively yet. However I have used it to prune some neglected shrub roses, a task that with a manual saw would have been very difficult because of access to the branches that needed to be cut, with great ease and success. There are more to do! The saw seems well constructed and durable; charges rapidly (empty to full is around three hours). I haven't used it to exhaustion yet so am not sure of the working life of one charge. I have yet to master a comfortable hand grip since one needs to release a safety catch with thumb or forefinger and simultaneously depress the trigger. The safety catch can be released once running. The speed of the reciprical action can be controlled by the degree to which the trigger is depressed but I guess most users will use it "full speed ahead". The "A" attachment is used to hold a branch allowing one-handed use. It works fine but there is a knack needed to remove and replace the attachment (this is shown diagramatically in the literature supplied). I still have eight fingers and two thumbs. Safety is emphasised in the literature. Wearing sturdy gloves, and ideally eye protection, is recommended but the most important thing to remember is to keep BOTH hands away from the blade. Develop a one handed technique and do not use you other hand to steady the workpiece or to apply extra pressure. So far I am very pleased with this purchase. I have only used the blade supplied but one can purchase blades for metal or a sabretoothed blade for garden use, although the blade supplied cuts green wood satisfactorily. The blade is only about 15 cm long so don't expect to be able to attack a forest tree! Leave that to the tree surgeons!

Stops that arm ache and trims the tree branches in seconds.
Excellent item, previously spending 15 mins on one tree branch is now done in seconds. I trimmed a large section of trees down within the hour and these hadn't been done for well over 10 years. The wireless power allows me not to get stuck in a large amount of cabling as being powered battery (the only part was I don't know if the battery pack can be replaced as it is encased in rubber at the back of the tool, it maybe replaceable but I haven't found out if so.), yes this did run out of juice, after 1 hour and half continuous use the power indicator was implying it was at a low level. Don't get me wrong it won't be a tool to clear your garden full of 20 trees, this tool is for general trimming and cutting of wood for DIY. Great alternative instead of using the hand saw, in regards to the blade condition after cutting 3-4 different types of tree's it seems to be still in good condition for next time use.I will be purchasing some extra blades in the future though. Using the tool is simple and the setup for switching the saw blade is great, no looking for allen keys like other power tools. The branch grabbing/support tool is good feature as it keep the saw stable and accurate.
