Runs tight-especially in the heel, very stiff fabric, lightweight
Just received these in all black in size 7.5. I wear a 7 in almost everything. I was thinking a half size up would fit better with wool socks when its really cold out. I wish I would have gotten an 8. The heel in the right boot is weird, its painful. Digs in and tight- never had this in a boot before but Im not a fan. Hoping it loosens up otherwise I wont ever wear these. Other than that these seem very well made and sturdy. Like they will last many many years or can be passed down between kids if thats something you can do. They are lightweight and easy to get on and off. They seem to run small however, the reviews are correct in saying that. My advice is if you are between sizes definitely go up to the next higher size. If you have wide feel and are between sizes Id say to definitely get the wide optionโฆbut also go up one half size as well. For exampleโฆif u are a 7 and have wide feetโฆ get the 8W. If you have wide feet and wear an 8 then get the 9W- not the half sizes. They wont be too big don't worry. You can adjust the tightness in these so they can accommodate many different sizes and shapes of feet, ankles and legs Its just if you have wider feet and tend to go between sizes you're going to need more space for comfort than just a half size allows. The materials are pretty structured and stiff. Not sure if this is a good thing. i am 5โ2โ and they go mid calf on me. I wish they were more fun to look at but who cares what they look like when its -30 where I live! Haha!

Happy with my purchase
Ordered a size 8 after reading reviews about the toebox being squarish/big. I wear size 8 Hokas. And this size is just about right for thicker socks and still has enough space to wiggle toes. The last Columbia boots I bought was a size 7 and it just squished my toes although still somewhat comfortable. No support arch wise, but I might still be able to insert insoles and would ul still have ample space. Overall happy with my purchase.P.S. Something on the side of the eyelets feels like it's digging through hence a slight feeling of pinching near my big toe but hopefully wouldn't cause discomfort when I actually move about with these boots outside.

Was too tight over the ball of the foot at .5 size larger than normally wear.
These are nice boots, surely warm, but the fit wasn't right for me. I wear a size 7 and have high arches and average width feet. I once broke the sesamoid bone (bone you feel under the ball of your foot) in one foot and don't like shoes that are tight over that area. I ordered a 7.5 thinking they would likely fit well with warm sox. These boots seem like average width and are probably a good fit for average feet, but they pressed down tightly on the ball of my foot, so they don't work for me. Had to return and am looking for something else.

Warm, comfy, no arch support
I always wore a size 11, but the last few years an 11 has been too tight. So I've been buying 12's. These boots, in a 12, barely were big enough. I'm actually somewhat apprehensive about the room for my toes but I think they will just barely be OK. I have had a bunion removed, and I can say there would have been no way at all to wear these if I still had a bunion! They are pretty narrow in the toes. But they are very warm and seem well made. Heel has room for thick socks without being too wide. There is no arch support at all, so I will be adding a 3/4 insert that hopefully will leave toe room. They are not perfect, but I think with an insert will do fine, and they are so warm I won't need thick socks.

Great for walks in icy conditions
I moved to PA from FL this year so I had to buy a winter wardrobe to survive. We had our first snow and these are fantastic. I have to walk my dog 3-4 times a day and I felt sturdy and comfortable in these. Iโm a 8 in tennis shoes/boots and they fit perfectly. Easy to slip on and tie. Comfortable to walk in, they were a little stiff at first but are now more comfortable. Definitely worth the purchase!

I'm keeping them, but...
I really like these boots. They're comfy, well-built, attractive, and were at a great price. Thing is, I can tell that there is very little insulation on the sole, so my feet will get cold pretty fast if I'm standing on cold ground. * Solution! I ordered lambswool insoles, and they completed this boot to my liking so well! I sprayed them with a suede treatment, and I am pretty confident that the measures I've taken are going to work for me. These should last me a long time. Columbia is a great brand, and did me very well when they outfitted me at the Marlboro Montana Ranch back in 2006.

Super comfy
They came within a day , they are stiff and sturdy. I was told that was good and they are lightweight I thought they were going to be heavy but they are not. It's like fur around the calves and like a velvet like short fluff below on the inside. I haven't tried them in the snow yet but they are warm in 40 and 30 temperature . I'm tall as well so these are perfect and there is room for thick socks. I'm going to spray them a Little with weather protector spray just for extra protection. I love them .

Very Pleased
Love the boot, came in a timely manner too. The only thing that i will say negatively is that i wish the boot had a loop on the back heal to help with putting boot on. Thats my only gripe. Little stiff at first until you break them in but overall, comfortable and handles the Alaskan winters. if you like an extra little room for a thick sock size up.

These are perfect if you go out in real winter
Ok it took me awhile to write this review and my pictures shown very worn boots. These boots rock!!! Worn throughout a very cold winter in Winnipeg Manitoba and never ever had cold feet. The sizing was a titch larger than expected but ok for winter boots cuz usually u go a bit larger for winter boots but I would suggest just go with your regular shoe size. These r roomy. The fur is just a decorative edging on top which I didn't expect but it's ok. Easy on and off no annoying boot liner to deal with. Amazing and affordable winter boot. Great sturdy grippy soles!!!! They even look ok. I might have wanted prettier boots but they couldn't have checked all the other boxes. I did not waterproof the suede but my feet never got wet. Perfect winter boots. No complaints.

Best winter boots I have ever worn - comfy, warm, waterproof
I was weary about ordering boots online as my feet are a little wide and my calves are very big, but I did a lot of research and took a leap of faith. I was NOT disappointed. I have had them for about a month and a half now and I can say that these are the best winter boots I have ever worn. They are extremely comfortable - I have worn them all day long several times and did not experience ANY discomfort. None. The lace goes all the way to the bottom and the top of the boots open fully, so I have no issue fitting my big calves into these, even with bulky pants on. They look GREAT worn. They fit so well and are so comfortable that I do not even need to lace them up to wear them, so they are PERFECT for just leaving undone and just slipping on and off if you need to go for a quick drive or take the dog out. I have walked through snow in these and they are 100% waterproof and very warm. The inside is lined with faux fur almost all the way down, so they're super comfy. The soles have very good grip, but of course, boots will only do so much on slippery ice. They're probably not THE smallest boots you could get, but they are by no means clunky and they feel quite light to wear.In terms of size, I'm going to be very specific because every has different feet and it's hard to buy boots online! I purchased an 8.5 and they fit perfectly - comfy with regular thin socks but still room for thick socks. In "fashion" boots/shoes, I typically wear a size 8. In flats, I normally buy a size 7-7.5 and they KILL my feet until I break them in for about a week, then they fit once they've stretched out. My feet are roughly 8.5" long and a bit over 3.5" wide at the widest, just under the toes. They're chubby. My calves are pretty big - they NEVER fit into regular tall boots, and usually do not fit into "wide calf" boots.Overall: the best winter boots I've ever owned. Comfy enough to wear all day, warm, waterproof, can slip on and off without tying. Totally worth the price, even though I don't normally pay so much for one clothing article!

warm boots
Having read all reviews, went and bought a pair, yes keep feet warm ,yes easy to get on ,yes true to size, ,waterproof yes, on yesterdays snow fine ,compacted snow no, the reason for getting boots people said they grip on ice NO they do not, had one fall on slippy shoes ,in rain ,wasn't going to do it again ,would be 5 stars except for that one thing, keep away from ice.

No grip whatsoever
These are comfortable boots, easy to put on and take off. After looking at every pair of snow boots on Amazon, and returning several pairs, I decided to pay extra to get these because they had a wide width fitting. I have very wide feet so went a half size up; unfortunately, this meant the length was a little big. I was unable to wear thick socks because there was no room on the width. It snowed just after I received them so I decided to try them out. There was no grip whatsoever on the sole, I immediately slid on the ice and had to hang on to the side when crossing an icy bridge. I wrote to the seller to ask if the grip would improve if I wear them in; however, I received a reply from Amazon stating that my return had been accepted. I pointed out that this did not answer my question but had no joy so decided it was best to return them. The search continues!

Waterproof, warm and comfy
I have wide feet and these fitted perfectly, I did order 7 1/2 and I am only a 7, but wanted to wear them with thick socks.I have worn these in snow, ice and rain and not once have my feet been cold or wet, I am a window cleaner so wear them all day, very comfortable. I have already ordered another pair to save for when these wear out, just in case they cease making them. I ordered the black, sometimes when I look at them they can look dark green but that does not bother me.
