I was previously using another gel sunscreen, but I couldn’t keep justifying the cost especially after they changed the formula. The new version had a strong, typical "sunscreen" smell and the texture no longer felt good on the skin. This sunscreen, on the other hand, smells amazing and leaves absolutely no white cast, not even a trace. The texture is smooth and melts into the skin beautifully. I'm currently using it as a body sunscreen, and it works great for that purpose. It's also incredibly moisturizing and has no chemical smell whatsoever. The scent is subtle and pleasant..maybe a light floral note with a hint of mint? It's hard to describe exactly, but it’s very faint and definitely enjoyable.

I have to use a lot of sunscreen frequently and don't like loading myself up with chemicals but the mineral type gets all over and has the white cast. I really could not continue using that because of the mess and ruining clothes/my car interior. This Dune stuff is completely clear and dries fully. It's so impossible to detect you can't even tell you have sunscreen on. The smell does not smell like disgusting coconut or other sunscreen type smell. It smells fine and goes away after awhile. I am unsure how waterproof it is (they say 40 min), when I wash it off after I get home, I can't tell if I'm washing anything off at all. I reapply a couple times throughout the day and it seems to work pretty well. It is different than any other sunscreen product I've ever used, in a good way. It says made in USA too

This stuff is absolutely great. I'm a little darker so never really cared for sunscreen too much, especially since most of it is pasty and leaves white casts. As I get older I try to use sunscreen more often for wrinkles and what not. My wife put me on to Gel facial sunscreen and this inspired me to try and find Gel body sunscreen. I found this as a possible solution and bought a bottle for a Bali trip, and this worked amazingly. Absorbs quick, goes on clear, smells good, and keeps me protected. I didn't have any issues related to burning, just make sure to apply based on directions, and a little goes a long way. I used it most days for about a week, although I didn't always apply throughout the day and I still have about half a bottle left! It is more expensive, but I honestly think it's worth it. This is my new and only sunscreen I'll be buying. Just as a note, if you reapply and are wet/sweaty it will take time to absorb and it does leave a slight weight cast. Not really an issue too much for me, but I did notice it when we reapplied and I was sweaty. It still MUCh better than most other sunscreens where you are just painting yourself since it won't absorb at all. I would highly recommend! Maybe the price will go down a bit as more companies catch on - put still very worth the price.

Honestly I do like this sunscreen; it doesn't leave a white cast, there's no oily residue, and yes it smells nice. Mine arrived broken, meaning it has since spilled on my dresser but it's still a really good sunscreen! It's amazing!

No wonder it’s award-winning! We all know that not every product works the same for everyone, but this lotion/SPF truly delivers on everything I want and need. If there’s any drawback at all, it would only be the price—but honestly, it’s worth it. What I love most is how quickly it melts into the skin, absorbing without a trace. It leaves just the faintest, pleasant scent and feels as light as water. The texture reminds me of water gels like Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost line, but this one absorbs even more completely, leaving no shine—just a smooth, delicate finish.

I consider this the perfect sunscreen with the exception that it would not be the best if you were in the water. It goes on easily, feels good, and is not oily. It is like Afta, an old-time aftershave I used to use in the winter when living in the MId-West. It has the same percentage of active sunscreen ingredients as its sister product, Mug Guard, yet you get 3.5X the amount of product. I live in Florida and golf up to 5 X/week and could not be happier with this product. While I haven't tried it when swimming or boating, I think it is obvious that it would not be the best sunscreen as it is completely non-oily.

I’ve tried all the brands - and Dune Bod Guard is for me the best sunscreen your money can buy. The value for what you get is amazing. And it goes a long way and like all the other reviews here, it glides on easy and rubs in completely clear. It was sold out in July or August of this year and I couldn’t get it. Made me have to try others brands. Now I am able to get it again, and I am in Sedona, and it’s like….. HOW DID I NOT HAVE THIS ALL SUMMER?

My son hates wearing sunscreen, and the rest of my family isn't crazy about it either. I've successfully gotten him to wear it by calling this dune suncare "Ninja Turtle" sunscreen, since it's green tinted. It's also not greasy at all, it goes on easily and it smells great. It also spreads really nicely, a little bit goes a long way. Love it, I will happily pay for sunscreen my kid will accept.
