Great protection for lower impact work
I wish I'd found this sooner. New house, lower loft. Lost count of the times I've cracked my head in a low beam and created yet another dent in my bald bonce. This cap is superb. Lightweight but with a solid feel to it, I'd say it's a bit like putting a protective plastic bowl on your head with a decent fitting cap over that. It's already saved me a few dents in my head, so I recommend this product unreservedly. Tried and tested, it works.

Portwest bump cap
I have a walk in loft and bang my head most times i go in. My wife demanded I buy a hard hat. Having used portwest safety wear in my old job I knew this would be of good quality. I wasn't wrong, good product and just what I needed, it's now hanging on the back of the loft door ready for when I need it.

Solid and works
I was sick and tired of banging my baldy head on just about everything around my workshop, so decided it was time to find a solution. The hat has done just the trick and has saved my head from numerous bumps. Please do not think this is a stylistic baseball cap like your normal ones. It is a safety hat disguised as a baseball cap, and as such is taller on your head than the image depicts, or at least to my eyes. It is really solid and does what it's supposed to do. If you are vein and worry how you look, then perhaps it's not for you, but I'm 55 and couldn't care less and happy to save my ageing head.

Excellent for preventing cuts and grazes on heads
Got fed up with keep getting small cuts and grazes on my head when working in confined spaces (like attics) so thought I'd try this bump cap, and have to say it does the job excellently! Fits snugly, is lightweight, and stops my delicate bonce from getting cuts and grazes. Only slight niggle (and it is slight) is that the ventilation is not very good, it does get sweaty, but like I say it is a slight niggle, I'd rather have a sweaty head than a cut head. An excellent purchase.
