Works when other options don't
More expensive than it should be but a device that works when other options have failed. While I've been able to successfully use deep breathing methods on my own, my young adult daughter has continued to struggle to the get the into the zone where her nervous system truly reaches a calm state. However, she loves this device and is willing to use it. She also enjoys the biofeedback option to track so she knows its helping. That reinforces using it. I love that it can be used with your eyes closed unlike lighted options and the sound is whisper quiet unlike their moonbuddy option. Being able to use with the app gives more functions, but being able to use app free is makes it fantastic. No distracting phones and kids with phone restrictions can still use anytime. If less expensive options work, use those. But when more guidiance is needed, this is an option that really works.

Wonderful
I really loved this device! It helped me a lot with practicing basic breathing. At first, I thought the size was a bit large, but I got used to it. I was able to measure its impact through the Oura Ring. I managed to shift from stress mode to restored (which is deeper than relaxation) using only the basic breathing it offers! If you're looking for a device to help with stress and breathing practice, you can definitely go for it!

Be wary...
After a significant amount of time spent with this biofeedback device, I've found it to be consistently disappointing. The device's lack of sensitivity makes it difficult to get accurate readings, which undermines its core purpose. The charging system is inconvenient, especially when compared to modern standards, and the feedback provided is so limited that it offers little more value than simple breathing exercises.

NOT effective and definitely not worth the money
NOT worth the money. Barely moves at all. Worst purchase I've ever made.

Feels weird in hand but it does work
This is a really cool device, I’ve never seen anything like it before when I first use it, it would tickle my palm so I didn’t like it then I got used to it and it does help with breathing and calming me down. Make sure to keep up with the charging cord don’t lose it like I did I only got to use it for a three of weeks, it would be nice if it was easier to charge up because it does not work unless it’s charged, when the battery is low it won’t work at all only the green light will show when you shake the device. I like the app that came with it it was easy to install and easy to hook up on my phone, this is good for anxiety and a meditation which I’d like to get more into because having ADHD inattentive makes it hard to focus and having something that breathes in my hand kind of distracts me from thinking other thoughts so I’m looking at my hand as the device is doing its thing. Hopefully when I find a charging cable I can begin using the device again.

Though it is pretty good, it has bad points too.
I really loved the thought of this unit, and bought one, after getting it, I found it is too big for my hands and my hands are not small. Because it is big, I couldn’t feel the one side the gets bigger on inhales, and compresses down on exhale. Because the movement is slight I never have been in “coherence.” One item I was highly disappointed was 1) find the app in the App Store. It does not come up on the store as moonbird. 2) the second is that there are only 3 breathing plans. You can make your own, but for the price I expected more out of it. One last item, if you have arthritis in your hands, and it being a larger size didn’t help either. I will be sending it back, and using my phone app.

Guided meditation
I am really enjoying using Moonbird to relax and sleep. It took a while to charge, but it is holding the charge for a long time. It was easy to set up. I had to download the app and pair the device, but once that was done, it is super easy to use. I choose what type of experience I want (I usually choose sleep) and I select the duration and while I hold the Moonbird, it expands and contracts in my hand and I sync my breathing to it. The app plays a guided meditation that helps me relax my whole body and focus on my breathing so I can fall asleep faster. There isn’t anything disappointing about this product.

Good For Breath Training
It took me a while to install the app and then get started was easy. The device is a very attracive blue green color and fits into your hand comfortably. I would liked it better if it had a relaxation exercise added to it. Or for anxiety just the sound of gentle rain or waves of the ocean on a beach. It all depends on what you like. For myself, I wish that it would do more.

Nice idea. A haptic (touch. Asked) breathing aid is a nice way to guide breath when meditating or falling asleep. But the app for this doesn't even begin to fully offer what it should. Really at this price it should be reading your HRV and adjusting the breathing accordingly to guide you to a higher HRV. And it's not even close to that level of sophistication. The ability to adjust the breaths as you want them is compromised by the fact you can't keep that program running. I've tried emailing customer service twice and haven't heard back. One of the key components advertised doesn't exist at all. It should either cost 50% of what it does, or they should significantly upgrade levels of function. te. The readings and algorithms used to give feedback are utterly wrong when measured against most sophisticated devices I have. They are misleading. Other software is just low, low level. What a pity. This is Haptic breathing 1.0 and inadequate. I would love something that actually worked as advertised, as.brearh work to adjust the Central nervous system and influence HRV are great tools if only this actually tapped in to them. Cannot recommend.

I used it now for several months and it still works. Although I don’t use it everyday, I find that it is helpful to help you to achieve what you want out of it.

Yes, it’s expensive, but as someone who has always struggled to do breathing exercises, this has been a godsend. The fact that you just follow the Moonbird as it inflates and deflates means you don’t have to worry about counting, and getting tied up in knots. There are lots of really helpful breathing guides you can follow on the app, covering things like anxiety, sleep and stress, but the thing I found so valuable and is not properly promoted on their website, is that you can do a small ‘test’ which then determines the best breathing rate to suit you. It gives you exact inhalation, pause, exhalation, and then pause timings, and I found that doing this really revolutionised how I felt about do my breathing sessions going forward. It felt ‘natural’ for the first time. Aside from that you can monitor your HR, HRV, and Heart Coherence rate for each session and see trends over time. I’m really glad I bought mine and would thoroughly recommend.
