I was overwhelmed with the quality and the weight of this product. For $25 I expected cheapo metal combination plastic crap. However, as indicated in the product reviews it's metal and it's great! As I said well worth the buckaroos!

Such a great buy, better than expected! I love the packaging first of all, very high quality. The item itself is much larger than I expected and it’s made from actual metal which is very sturdy. Very easy to change the code. Going to swap the rings out for cash and create clues for my son to solve for the code for his 13th birthday!

Fun product, I used this cryptic once so far, in a Table Top Role Playing Game (TTRPG) but I plan to use it in several more of games and several other uses too. It is well constructed, fairly hefty, I'd call it substantial. It's easy to customize it feels well built and should make any occasion feel a little more special.

I wanted to give my girlfriend something special for her birthday and thought I'd have a little fun by using this. I placed the order and within 5 days it arrived (I don't have Amazon Prime). Inside the Amazon packaging box was a small brown bag with cloth/string handles on either side. Insured the bag was an antique golden box. On pulling this out of the bag I noticed the box was extremely heavy. The box is made of cardboard but very solid. One side is closed with the use of a magnetic strip which is very nice. On opening you see a styrofoam cover which again looks antique, a dark brown color. Removing this you will then see a card with a ships anchor attached to it and a spiritual verse written on the card. Nice touch! On removing this you then see the Cryptex. It looks just like the picture. Taking it out, you notice the weight. It's very heaving! I turned the dial to ILOVEU and it opens. The whole thing feels of quality. Smooth dials, solid construction. Once I opened the Crytex you see through a heart shaped window into the cyclinder 2 rings, one gold and one silver...the gold ring being the largest. They are the replicas of the LOTRs ring! I wish they were metal but they are plastic. Nevertheless they look great! Also in the box was 2 leather necklaces so you can hang the rings around your neck. Nice! I've read the instructions on how to change the Cryptex password and while it sounds easy enough I'm not going to try, just in case I break it. I don't think my girl friend will guess the code is ILOVEU that easily. Overall, this is excellent. It would look great on your desk! I'm very happy and impressed with this item. Well worth the money.
