Exo Terra 150W Reptile Amphibians Dome Light Stand

I use this in my Tortoise Table. I have had it for over 10 years and not had a problem

This is currently suspended above our tortoise table and houses a full spectrum bulb (not Exo Terra). Good quality, solid and doesn't get too hot. Any right sized bulb will fit this holder and it looks nice in the matt black finish. Well packaged and quickly received. Recommended for any tortoise table or open enclosure.

I brought this for my Panther Chameleon because I accidentally knocked my old one off the top of her enclosure and the bulb broke inside it but this one is so much better it’s not too big and it’s not too small it’s just the right size. Very easy to setup just screw the bulb in then plug it into the thermostat job done! The packaging is nice it has all different reptiles on the box.

The light dome arrived in its own thin box, no external or internal packaging. Just a loose dome. Luckily it is working ok.

I use it in the tortoise pen. I didn't find the bracket useful so I took it off and the dome is hanging by it's wire through the support. It's stayed nice and shiny even in the high humidity level in the tortoise pen. I like the way it redirects light from the bulb downwards so that it is not wasted in shining up into the ceiling.

I have now bought two of these and two of the larger versions, that is because I have two tortoises who needed to be separated however on all four of these they have come pre-installed with fake fuses in the socket. If you open up the socket (just one screw in between the three prongs) and take out the fuse, it become quite obvious that they're fake fuses and I found this out the hard way as this light dome blew around 4 bulbs and the larger dome did the same, with bulbs that are £40 each. Not impressed. However upon changing the fuse in my existing two and the new two, I have not had a single bulb blow and everything else has been fine. I would say that this is a good product as long as you change the fuse, they're inexpensive and easily found in most stores. Just make sure it's from a reputable seller and brand.

This works very well, and has yet to pop any bulbs upon switching on. Powerful, focused area of heat. Love it.

Compre el combo con el soporte y mi familia no tuvo problemas al instalarla. La recomiendo para gente que ponga una lampara en su acuario ya que la luz del foco puede dañar la vista de las personas que esten cerca. Esta campana cubre en su totalidad el foco y concentra la luz hacia abajo, cubriendo en todos los angulos la luz fuera del acuario.

Tried several proper Exo Terra bulbs with this, and they blew. Probably faulty.
