Sea-Chem Complete Care Kit for Starting or Restarting Your Septic Tank and Keeping it Healthy

I've been using a few products over the years since we bought our house trying to find the best solution to maintain a flaky sewage treatment system that was retrofitted, not particularly well, to an old septic system. We've always struggled with smells coming back from the drains, showers mainly and blockages. So far I'm very impressed with this product. I've gone for the full shock treatment. I've done the first half and the smell stopped within 30min and has stayed gone. Second half will go in to the system in 4 days and then it's just the regular monthly doses. Now we are in winter so summer will be the proof but so far, touch wood, this is working! Hopefully it alway maintains the system blockage free as well but time will tell.

Easy to use to and effective for the septic tank, occasional smell has disappeared complete after a day of using.

To my surprise the standard monthly dose of this product has largely eliminated smells from our septic tank and has been more effective than a more expensive product we had used for some years. We share our tank with two neighbouring cottages, so it is fairly large. During the year I have used the product, I have only found significant smells coming from the tank once and having given the tank one additional dose, the problem went away within a day or so and has not so far recurred. This is the only reason for giving 4 rather than 5 stars. I find the product pretty easy to use and reasonably priced for a year’s effective treatment.

Used Sea Sure with Bio Boost tablets. Pros- easy to use when following instructions included on the bottle. Seems to do a reasonable job keeping smell of septic tank at bay but can't compare it to another product as not been living at our house with a septic tank for more than a year. Cons- the sea sure solution is essentially ammonia solution and is a very strong and unpleasant smell.

Outstanding product! We moved to an old house with a septic Tank and couldn't believe the disgusting smell coming from sinks or when toilets were flushed; shower taken or a bath emptied. The smell pervaded the whole house but worst of all, the upper floor as the water cascaded to the tank with force. We had the tank emptied 9 months before needed. No resolution. Then paid for a back flush of all the pipes to the house and another emptying. No resolution and all within 6 months of moving in. The smell was so bad it would even wake us up! We discussed this product with the Tank Cleansing Contractor who said it would be doubtful that it would work..... WRONG! It does! We added the solution and resolutely add x1 tablet of the maintenance treatment. No smell at all in less than 24 hours of use!!! This has been the "make or break" into the decision that our house move was the right thing to have done. An update in April 2019 - we have continued to use a monthly tablet and continue to be problem free. Superb!

Purchased this of Amazon about 4 weeks ago YEP!!!! we had a smelly tank - smelling for a time NOT NICE!! - had tried another product from the the internet it came in packets - did not work very well reduced the smell a little - so we once again emptied our septic tank thats needs doing every 6 months!!! added the product over a week and No smells since - this product has worked for us what i would advice if your Tank smells try this product - what we did learn Septic tanks need looking after depending on the system you have. We are now like the add on the T.V what can we smell!!!? Just flowers and the country side. Added in November 2012 I will add after many weeks this product is still working

Used this product for years. Once a month flush a tablet and a measured dose of solution down a toilet and that’s it. It works to keep the anaerobic digestion process functioning efficiently - no smells and reduced pump outs

The product was as described Liquid + 12 tablets and 0ne glove for the instruction "do not touch Tablet" Treatment is completed in 12 monthly doses After deciding to dose directly into the septic tank my actions where to :- Decide where to secure the product and the mixing equipment! Dedicate a clear plastic measuring jug to the task and mark the level for 500ml, check it is suitable for pouring directly into the Septic Tank. The most convenient for me was the input trap allowing another check to be completed at the same time. Using a clear plastic Cup size container and mark the level for 80ml Dedicate a large spoon to transfer the tablet from the its tube into the measuring jug when required and then to stir the mix and dissolve the tablet. The septic tank system was inspected and all pipework checked when I ordered the kit. Currently the 2nd dose has been poured in - just got to wait for 9 months to decide did it work?
