Pricey considering the amount you get and how many capsules you have to bang down per day! 9!! So although its a good product and useful for gut health (amongst other things) and especially for people such as my self with coeliac disease, I would rather opt for a tub of powder as it works out slightly better value for money, Solgar are a great company which goes without saying.

I successfully use this product for two health issues. The first issue is occasional stomach ulcers. I use Acid-Ease to provide short-term relief. I use DGL to clean out any stomach uncleanliness issues. Finally, I use L-Glutamine for long term healing and relief. After taking a couple of these daily over the course three to five days, my stomach ulcer issues are resolved for about a year until I eat something that causes a re-occurrence. Secondly, I also use this product for post-surgery, lower-back, herniated-disc pain. L-Glutamine works like a charm for me. I take one at night before I go to bed, and I take one in the morning when I rise. I virtually get immediate relief. I wish I would have known about this prior to surgery. Given it may not have worked prior to surgery, because I had a a herniated disc impinging on a compressed spinal nerve. However, post surgery anytime I have lower back pain flair ups L-Glutamine somehow strengthens and heals the area that is affecting me. I think it is more of a healing agent which relieves pain via healing than just a pain symptom masking agent. I do have to stop doing the physical activity that is causing the flare ups. However, L-Glutamine heals everything until I do another activity which I should not be doing. Solgar L-Glutamine is one of my top three go to supplements for healing. I love the product, and I love Solgar. I trust their quality and operational excellence.

Glutamine cures Lyme (Gary Null, Natural Healing) and this product also healed my ulcer. I needed Beverly Select powdered Glutamine to heal the Lyme though along with Source Naturals sub lingual Melatonin and Wonder Labs Cobalamin B-12 also sub lingual. I take about 4 or 5 a day. I also sometimes still pop a few of these Solgar before bed. Solgar glutamine helps me to sleep along with the Melatonin but I need the Beverly Glutamine Select powder for energy during the daytime along with the B-12. I believe this is a good product. Thanks Amazon I don't know how I would make it without you.

I have IBD and was starting with a flare. I did not want to go on Stronger medication and thought I would try these. Within 3 days there was significant improvement. I took 2 pills when I woke up, in between each meal and before bed. Make sure you take on an empty stomach for it to help with your intestinal walls. These worked great so the second time i tried a 1000 mg pill (different brand- I dont think these came in that size) that did not work for me. I think it has to do with them being vegitarian capsuls. So I went back to these and again they helped.
