An utterly beautiful book with tasteful projects within the scope of a careful crafter.
On of the most beautiful books I have ever owned. The pictures are exquisite and so are the designs for the projects; tasteful too. The projects seem carefully considered to be useful and (I think) adaptable for other purposes. The instructions are clear and precise as are the templates and the suggestions for materials. I think all will be within my skills as a novice - the stitches seem to require precision only, nothing overly complicated and the projects will rely on a careful choice of colours and materials. For reference there's a sewing machine cover, oven glove, cushion cover, pin cushion, napkin ring, scissor case, compact cover, hanger cover, apron, egg cosy, pouches/bags, brooch, hair slide, scarf, necklace, coasters, phone cover, key chain.

Beautiful book
I’m new to embroidery but love craft. This book would be great even if you just looked at it. I’ve been practising some of the stitches and I’ve managed to recreate three of the flowers already in just a couple of days. Very happy, the pictures are gorgeous and give just enough detail and description on how to create your own beautiful embroidery.

Some pretty designs
Provides ideas for starting to embroider flowers. The designs would need to be traced off and transfered to fabric. No actual transfers included.

A beautiful and very much valued addition to my sewing book collection
This is an absolutely stunning book and I am so pleased that I purchased it. It is packed full of instructional text and images which cover not only a range of stitching techniques but also touches on other embroidery techniques such as stumpwork and ribbon embroidery. The layout of the book is very efficiently arranged and the project examples are beautifully and clearly presented with extremely detailed and precise instructions. This is without a doubt a much valued addition to my sewing book collection and one that is a pleasure to thumb through just for the sake of it.

My favourite embroidery book!
I absolutely love this beautiful book! Practical projects that anyone would be happy to make - lots of variety, instead of the usual boring stuff (eg phone cases - who on earth would sew a phone case?!) we see in most sewing books! There are fab templates, lots of examples, and very useful instructions. It also teaches the beginning steps of shading, which was exactly what I was looking for. Very happy!

A must for every sewer and embroiderer
This has to be the loveliest book in my very large book collection. Clear directions with beautiful illustrations as well as delightful projects to complete within every range of ability. It is without doubt one of the nicest books I have had the good fortune to find. Would like to acquire more of her books. Highly recommended.

Pretty little project, requires sewing machine skills
This book has little embroidery project ideas that requires sewing machine skills and I personally would not recommend this book if you are a beginner. All project ideas-I found them difficult. But book itself is beautiful and has nice pictures and explanation of what tools you need and how to do each little project.I would not regret buying this book but I probably will start with beginner friendly books!

Inspirational and lovely to look at
Gorgeous book lots of inspiration not just for sewing either. Apart from embroidering lavender sprays on my bedding and clover and rabbits on the pockets of a pinafore dress I've used these lovely flowers to make watercolour birthday cards.
