So sharp!!!
This box knife is amazing, the auto retract is such a great feature especially when the blade is so sharp. The ceramic is so nice, it stays sharp for a very long time. compared to steel I'd say it easily stays sharper 3 times as long with heavy use. I work grocery and use it all day every day it lasted for about 2 1/2 -3 weeks on one blade I think it maybe would have lasted longer but I broke it before it got dull, thankfully I had a backup blade in my pocket. That is the only negative is the blade is breakable however it takes quite a bit to get there. I am very rough on mine so that is how I did it. Otherwise I highly recommend this box knife you will not regret it.

Unusable to left-handers; not sure I love the blade design either
This is hard to review because I can't really use it well because I'm left handed. I told the knife in my left hand to cut, but because the blade auto-retracts and how/where you hold the blade to extend it -- it's just impractical to cut with the included utility knife.Pros:+ auto-retract works well+ ceramic blades are good quality+ ceramic blades will last far longer than standard utility blades+ it's harder to hurt yourself with a ceramic blade (seriously, which is pretty nice)+ standard-sized blades fit in a conventional utility knife as well+ includes a total of two blades, so you have a backupCons:- can't use effectively if you hold knife in your left hand- blades have a less-useful rounded edge for some reason, cutting the utility in halfOther:~ yes the pun is intentional~ You might or might not like the auto-retracting aspect depending on how you plan to use thisI didn't love that the included blades have one rounded edge (a standard utility blade has two sharp ends). It's also a bad choice to have that edge out by default - when I first took this out and used it, it felt very weak because the rounded edge couldn't cut into the box very well. It worked a lot better once I flipped the blade and used the pointed edge. Two blades doesn't sound like a lot, but two ceramic blades should last longer than the 10-20 free blades that come with other utility knives.I guess the upshot is: if you are right handed this is a nice option.

Tiny but works great.
When I first unpacked this item, I was a little disappointed looking at the blade size. But I judged it too quickly because that small blade works wonders.I love that the blade only comes out as much as I want, I can full control the size of the blade I want to use either it’s cutting the box or just a tape without damaging the item i side the box. It’s extremely easy to change the blade, just press the bottom button and it will cone out.I also like that there is no way the blade stays open. One of my old box cutter’s blade would stay open. For my next use but that creates many safety issues. This blade just goes in automatically unless you press the button while using it.Very happy and definitely recommend.

Cheap plastic mechanism. Frighteningly sharp blade.
Edit: after using this several days I’ve noticed that the blade retraction mechanism tends to get stuck very often and I have to open it and re-seat the blade and close it again in order for it to work. Considering that the blade will automatically retract and you always have to push it out for every use, this is getting very annoying very quickly. In addition the blade is pretty wobbly when it’s deployed and that makes it unsuitable for making precise cuts. And potentially unsafe. I have retired the knife because of this.Back to the old regular utility knife. It’s funny, if they charged the exact same amount of money for two ceramic razor blades and just happened to include a free knife at no extra charge, I would probably give this five stars. These are brilliantly executed ceramic razor blades. They are probably going to be a little bit brittle so it’s a good idea to be very careful with them but they are absolutely translucent thin ultra razor edge like obsidian. These things slice thick cardboard like you don’t even feel it I mean there is no pressure at all, with a standard utility knife you would have to push a little bit and this just glides right through it.You could slice an entire finger off with one of these things and not even realize it until you heard it hit the floor. But ceramic is brittle so you don’t want to drop the blade or have any impacts against the sides. It comes with two ceramic blades and they will last a very long time. You can sharpen them but you need special stones to do it. You’re likely not to have to sharpen them throughout the life of the plastic handle. Now the knife mechanism is a cheap plastic utility blade holder, But still a cut above the handles they typically come with the disposable breakaway blades. Still it doesn’t feel like it’s going to last a long time but it may surprise me. There’s a little spring inside that pulls the blade back you have to hold it extend it with your thumb. And it thunks back very fast. Seems like they could’ve made the spring a little more gentle. You can open the mechanism and you have easy access to the spring so you could stretch it out and make it a little more gentle yourself really. It just seems a little too aggressive. And the mechanism is about as cheap plastic a thing as you can get.Now the real kicker here is there is there would be enough room to store the extra ceramic blade you get in the handle had they designed it that way. But they did not so you cannot put the extra blade in there. You might be able to modify the mechanism a little bit to fit one in there. But it would’ve been no problem to design it that way in the first place. A missed opportunity that would’ve given this thing the convenience and utility that makes up for its cheap plastic construction. Have they done that I would’ve given it five stars. It just shows that the designers just don’t care. And so you have to find a place to store one of the sharpest blade you’re ever gonna find without it getting damaged and remember where it is by the time you need it.I would say 3 1/2 stars and I’m not even sure which side I’m going to lean to. But if they had just put a little more care into the design of this thing, it would’ve been a no-brainer to go with five stars.

Worked great for a few months
It was a great little cutter for a few months but then a spring inside broke and it can't be used.
