RockTape is the best!
I buy this type to make my own over tape patches to secure my son's continuous glucose monitor and cannula on his insulin pump. I have tried many kinesiologie tape for this purpose. I have found rock tape to have the best sticking power, durability and gentleness on his skin. It removes without residue with a good medical adhesive remover. The tape is easy to cut to shape. As with all kinesiologie tape it's best to round off any corners and this helps prevent the type lifting at the ends. It stays put well through regular showering, gym session, sports and swimming lessons. I wouldn't use any other brand and is worth every penny.

Brilliant quality and long-lasting!
Didn't know if it would work, and thought if it did it'll be a placebo type effect. However, it was really good and really aided recovery. I originally bought to help an AC joint Injury while I was undergoing physio and found it to be an very good added support. It is very elasticated, very sticky and does remain on skin at the tension and position it was put. I was surprised at how durable it was when hoping in and out of swimming pools and showers especially. Very good quality and long lasting. Just remember to cut the edges of the tape at a curve to prevent any cornered edges catching on clothing! More recently, I had run out of RockTape and opted to pick up a cheap supermarket/store brand of tape, for an ankle injury. I have found the cheaper brand to be less tensioned, lasts a day or two before needing changed and ultimately of a poor quality compared to rock tape. This resulted in me quickly repurchasing the trusty rock tape once again. Delivery very prompt, will definitely buy again.

Effective Help For ITBS
After some extensive hill walking l suffered sharp unpleasant pains on the outside of my left knee during descents. I suspected Iliotibial Band Syndrome and paid a visit to the physiotherapist. The physio told me my ITB was sticking rather than gliding as it should and proceeded with some vigorous manipulation to free it off. She then applied a strip of rock tape from just below the knee to the top of the thigh. I was sceptical as to it’s likely benefits but I went back out on the hills to give it a try and was amazed at the difference. Still a few twinges but nothing like the pain previously. The tape stayed on for 8 days and baths / showers did not cause it to peel off. In fact when I took it off it was still sticky enough to pull unpleasantly on my leg hairs. I can’t tell if the physio alone would have had the same effect but I’m now a convert and use it whenever I go out for a lengthy hill walk. It’s comfortable to wear and most of the time I’m not even aware it’s there. Only if I bend as in a squat can I feel it pulling on the skin. It seems quite expensive for what appears to be a roll of stretchy, sticky tape but if it prevents the knee pain it’s definitely an excellent buy.

Extremely Effective Product
Extremely effective product. I bought this for a suspected ligament strain to my left knee caused by playing cricket ( I am 70yrs old and should know better!) I applied it according to the methodology seen on Youtube - three strips (80% stretched) in a cross-over pattern across the area of pain on the inside of the knee. I then covered this with a padded knee support, which is usually used by basketball players to avoid skin burns when falling on a hard surface. It supported the knee to a far greater extent than I expected in that I had no twinges of pain during or after the game. Admittedly I had rested the injured knee for about five weeks before playing again. Nevertheless, it was still niggling so I decided to use the Rocktape. Contrary to some reports it found it remained in place doing its job for more than a week after application. I shower after the game and on getting up every day, so it resists wetting and doesn't come off unless you physically try to peel it off. I suppose different people may have different skin properties, hence some people having problems with it coming off too easily. However, I think the real trick is to wash and dry the area thoroughly before application and gently but firmly rub over it with your fingers applying light pressure to ensure it is firmly stuck down. Getting it off again is no more difficult than removing elastoplast.

My physio recommended rock tape as opposed to braces for playing football ...
My first time using kinesiology tape so I've no frame of refernce to compare this to. My physio recommended rock tape as opposed to braces for playing football to help with ongoing patellofemoral pain. The reviewers who've said this stuff stays on in the swimming pool had a different experience to me! I've played 4 matches with the tape; 2 matches on a hot, dry day meant the tape stayed in place without issue. 2 rainy days and the tape didn't make it to half time! I've ordered a cheaper alternative for when this roll runs out. I've burned through it quite quickly but do use a lot of it. I'd recommend having a physio show you how to properly apply it - my first attempt seemed to make zero difference but once the physio showed me the correct way to tape the knee it did make a drastic difference. When used properly it does the job much better than braces (in my experience anyway) and has allowed me to carry on playing while continuing my rehab.
