Amazing Product
BEfore buying this product I checked the product reviews to make sure everything was in order and found a few people were having problems keeping the time, I clicked on the comments page for one of these reviews and found that the cure is to set the thing on the back to 50Hz (if you are in the UK) as it's time-keeping comes from the electricity in the house (you plug it into the wall) and you have to set the thing on the back in accordance to the homes electric (UK = 50Hz)whereas setting this to 60Hz would mean the homes electric and the alarm clock settings didn't match (you'll understand what I mean when you buy this item. Anyway it's very loud and is guarenteed to wake you up, I wasn't sure what to expect from the vibrating attachment but was impressed, it vibrates furiously and if placed under your pillow is guarenteed to wake you, the volume of the thing and the vibration together is definately something you'll wake upto. It's easy to set time and alarm, easy to use the volume etc. I just want to say now this product does not require batteries, there is a slot for a 9V battery but it is not required, as I've said this alarm is powered by the homes electricity all the battery is for is a backup so if the homes electric cuts out or whatever then the alarm will be able to keep track of time, according to the instructions even if the electric was to cut out then the LED screen wouldn't show it would just keep time, if you ask me it's better just giving the battery a miss and re-setting the time when needing to (when unplugged or electricity cuts out)

AMAZING PRODUCT - FINALLY, I'M UP ON TIME!!!!
I am a very light sleeper and the only way I can sleep is by using earplugs that block out most noise - obviously the problem is that it also blocks out most of the alarm clocks I use, including loud twin bell alarm clocks. Also, since I started taking blood pressure medication, I found that I have been sleeping much deeper and have a lot of problems waking up. Then someone recommended this alarm clock, and honestly, best purchase I've made this year. I know it's enough to wake the dead it's so loud, but it has me up on time and that is all I wanted. I actually didn't even need to use the bed shaker, but just grateful to have found something that finally wakes me up and is super loud - so very happy with the product and features. Took some adjusting to find the right volume for the buzzer, but there are different buzzer options, and you can dim the clock also, which I found useful - I have it on the lowest setting so the glare doesn't bother me in the night.

Love this alarm clock! (Using it with shaker pad only)
This alarm clock is great and just what I was looking for! I'm actually a very light sleeper, and didn't need a clock that is loud, but I wanted an alarm clock that can wake me up by vibration only. I'm hypersensitive to sound and when I set a regular alarm, for some reason I constantly believe I can hear it in the middle of the night and wake up, just to find that it's 2am or 3am or 4am or whatever, and no alarm going off. And when it actually goes off, I always find it way too loud, regardless of how quiet it really is. I wanted to see what happens with a shaker pad instead of sound, and the result is a much more relaxing sleep for me. I've stopped waking up in the middle of the night, hallucinating alarm clocks going off, and when the shaker pad goes off, it feels like a massage, yet it's impossible to sleep through it. The vibration is much stronger than I had anticipated, so I put it buried under a mattress and a mattress topper in the middle of the bed. The big numbers also mean that you can easily see the time at night. The snooze button is easy to reach. And I love how customisable it is! You can customise almost anything. The snooze duration, volume, tone (even though I don't use the last 2), the brightness of the display, ... You can also add a 9V battery in case there is a power outage - if the main power supply is cut, the battery is used as a backup power supply, so you won't oversleep, and you won't have to readjust everything. The display goes off while it's running on the battery, but everything else still works. And the display comes back on once the main power is back. The only thing that would make this even better is if you could set more alarms (even just 1 more would be enough), and adjust the days they are active on. E.g.: Alarm 1, Monday to Friday. Alarm 2, Saturday. Alarm 3, Wednesday. Otherwise you'll have to remember to turn your work alarm off Friday afternoon and turn it back on Sunday afternoon.

I live in a duplex, and my tenant upstairs can hear a pin drop, it seems. Me, on the other hand...I've been hearing-impaired ever since having radiation/chemo treatments 15 years ago, and I have to wear hearing aids. When I don't have them in at night, a bomb could go off and I probably wouldn't hear it. Since I wake very early in the morning to go to work (5a.m.) I needed something that would wake me, but without disturbing the tenant. After seeing another review here from a mom who stated that her hearing-impaired son benefitted from this, I decided to try it, and wound up ordering one. Several months later, and I am in love with this alarm. I don't use the sound feature on this one (obviously) but rely on the vibration function in order to get up in the morning. And let me tell you, that vibration is strong! I place the vibrator-extension part under my pillow, and as soon as it starts up, I'm wide awake. There's no way anyone could sleep through it! It's silent, so it doesn't disturb other household members, and it's strong enough to wake anyone from a very deep slumber. (The alarm itself also flashes a red light when the vibration mode comes on, but I tend to not use that since I can't actually see the alarm clock until I sit up.) One tap on the bottom right button shuts off the wake vibration; one tap on top of the alarm gives you a chance to snooze (and you can set the time you want to snooze). AND the instructions on how to set up the alarm are extremely easy to follow (it couldn't even confuse me, and that's saying a lot!). The only thing that I perhaps might give a 'con' to is the clock itself; it's so lightweight that, in an effort to turn off the alarm, one could easily knock it over. I've gotten used to this though...and it's a minor flaw. Overall, for the price, the ease of use, and the reliability, I'd say this is one of the best investments I've made in a long time. Highly recommended. For the price
