Super easy for beginners
This was my first time growing broccoli sprouts. I used about four tablespoons of seeds in each jar, and it grew a ton of broccoli sprouts without any mold or creepy crawling things hanging around. Some of the seeds did get stuck to the lid and screen, but it did not cause any problems. The screened cap isn't the most well-made screen out there, so I won't be surprised if I have to buy or make a new strainer in a few months. The glass jars are sturdy as well as the plastic stand. The jars stay in place on the stand, and it has a nice-sized water reservoir to keep your countertops dry.How I was successful:First, you must let the seeds soak in dawn + water + apple cider vinegar solution for 10 minutes to kill any bacteria in the seeds or jars. Rinse REALLY WELL and then let them soak for 8 hours in water (I used tap water, but some recommend filtered). Drain ALL the water by shaking vigorously, and then place the jars in the stand to continue with the draining process. Continue to rinse them twice daily for four days.

This is the best product for growing sprouts
We have tried the sprouting bags, and they are okay, they did produce nice bags of sprouts. But we had to hang them over the sink while they drained. And we did try the metal trays, and they were good, but we didn't like that we had to cut out the roots that grew through the wire mesh. Then we tried these mason jars and these are hands down the best method for growing great jars of sprouts. Just put in a tablespoon and a half of the seeds and water them for 8 hours, then rinse a few times a day. And after they sprout, we take off the covers and expose them to indirect sunlight for a few days. This greens them up and produces a great harvest of sprouts. The pictures above are from two jars, with 1.5 tablespoons of Broccoli sprouts in each, after 7 days. They are great in salads, soups, or blender drinks. One of the very best investments in our health that we have ever made.We highly recommend this product to everyone.

Compact and Easy
Excellent quality in a very compact system for growing your own micro greens on your kitchen counter! This is a very economical way to grow sprouts - I only used 2Tbsp of Salad Mix (broccoli, radish, clover, alfalfa) for the jar on the right and 1/4 cup of mung bean sprouts for the jar on the left. I started soaking the sprouting seeds (purchased separately) on Sunday. It’s Wednesday, and they’re just about ready to ‘harvest’! I just sampled my first ‘crop’ and they are delicious … very fresh and tasty. I’m looking forward to adding the mixed sprouts to salads, smoothies, etc. and using the mung bean sprouts in stir fry dishes. This system even came with black jar sleeves to use for some sprouting (such as beans and lentils). I highly recommend this product!

Great solution for hard to find bean sprouts
I use Walmart Grocery Delivery and they have been out of bean sprouts (canned and prepackaged) for about 6 months. I'm used to putting green onion bulbs in water then planting them in dirt so I figured I'd start growing my own bean sprouts. This sprouting jar kit makes it easy!Things I've learned... The mung bean seeds I bought said to put 2 tablespoons in each jar. That turned out to be way too many and was crowding the sprouts so I cut it back to 1 tablespoon per jar. That's worked well. Soak the seeds for 8 to 12 hours in the jars in a dark place then drain them and start rinsing them a couple times a day keeping the blackout covers on the jars. After 2-3 days of rinsing remove the blackout covers and move them to a well lit area (sunlight). After another 2-4 days you'll have 2 jars loaded with bean sprouts. Fyi... all parts of the sprouts are edible including the roots, the beans, the seed shells, and the leaves. The only thing I'd change with this kit is to get rid of the mesh on the blackout covers and make them completely opaque. There's no real need to view the seeds during the sprouting process.

Does the job!
I love the holder that allows the water to drain out. Love the big jar size. I don’t love the lids that come with the jars. And the sleeve is a bit difficult to pull over the jar. I stretched it out a bit and that seemed to help. But over all it does the job! I love my sprouts! Overall, pleased with my purchase.

Works perfectly
This is a perfect little crunch making factory. I’ve made alfalfa sprouts and broccoli sprouts successfully when I had no luck before. Easy to use and saved me so much money, I can have crunchy sprouted microgreens any time I want them.I’m gonna try celery sprouts next because why not? The kit makes it easy and fun, includes every you will need to sprout and clean the jars in between.

Sprouting so easy!
I've always wanted to try growing my own sprouts but never did until now. After researching different methods, I decided on the mason jar technique and found the Auspok Sprouting Jar Kit. It has all the equipment needed to sprout two 32 oz jars of sprouts. The kit was well packaged. It comes with two wide-mouth jars, two lids with stainless steel screen sprout lids, a stainless steel stand, two blackout sleeves, plastic tray and a cleaning brush. The instructions included were very basic compared to some of the articles I read on sprouting. I started one jar of alfalfa seeds and in 5 days I had a nice crop of sprouts! This kit makes sprouting so easy!

Delicious!
Finally made my sprouts and don't know what I was waiting for. So easy, fast and they really taste good! Also I realized if you like to have a stockpile of backup food in case of emergencies, this is a way to have FRESH salads on hand. I really cannot express how much I am enjoying these sprouts and I unequivocally recommend this starter kit. The wide mouth is the best size in my opinion. You can make as much or as little as you like. Living in earthquake country got me having supplies on hand. Now living in the Midwest with a shorter growing season is another reason to grow these sprouts so as to have FRESH greens. Same goes for hotter climates. An all around lifesaver!
