Yes for me this did a lot, good practical advice on how to remain true to myself and also reach high quality connection with another. Quite reminiscent of NVC, though quite a lot more.

Authentic relating is indispensable and each principle and practice laid out in the book has had a massive impact on my life. Authentic relating has brought me to look in the figurative mirror and see myself in new ways, accepting and including all of me, and has held me in my most joyous, shameful, loving, grief-fulled, and vulnerable moments as I make these discoveries. It's been a phenomenal catalyst for my personal growth and something I view as a way of being. This book captures it all so beautifully and shares the theory and practices in an accessible and inspiring way. I couldn't recommend Ryel's book enough.

At last something I can hold in my hands which lays out how to have love flowing in my life. Connection is breath to me… having found my way to Authentic Relating through ARTInternational I feel so grateful that my relationship to myself and to those around me is changing significantly. I am so much more my true self… hurray… and able to be the space for others to be that with me too… something I always longed for but didn’t know how to achieve…. Such gratitude to the author Ryel for making The Way so accessible now to everyone.

As someone who thought of myself as bad at communicating, these practices changed everything for me. From close relationships to everyday encounters - from being a mum to the next in line in the supermarket queue! Not only do I feel better equipped for communicating, I also get way more enjoyment, nourishment and meaning from being in connection with others. Whether you are new to authentic relating or an experienced practitioner I imagine there is something in this book for you! I loved the clear explanations, easy to follow exercises and the real life examples that felt so relatable. Fantastic read!

I highly recommend this book - Ryel and ART Internationals Authentic Relating Practices have transformed the way I relate with my close friends, family, strangers, colleagues and with myself. Ryel does a great job at explaining the tools and mindsets - is a manual for being human that I will keep coming back to!

Having attended level 1 and 2 Authentic Relating courses, I knew that I had to read this book by Ryel. It’s such a practical guide for cultivating transformational relationships (like the course). I love it! It’s a manual to read over and over again.

I am beyond happy to finally have in my hands a book that gathers the heart of this fantastic emerging culture. I find the author very touching, super clear with the theoretical concepts, and inspiring in the way he describes how to apply simple tools in our daily life that do nothing less than transform our relationships for the best.

If this book had reached my hands years before today, I believe my journey would/could have been less devastating&painful&long winded. It would/could have saved me from many hours of therapy and years of feeling completely lost. Reading it has brought so much sense into my inner and outer world! I understand myself better now! This book is the holy grale to connection for me: truths that are seemingly hidden in plain sight, get revealed with clarity and ease. Not in concepts, but in very practical insights, tools and skills. It’s equally nourishing to my hungry mind as it is to my longing heart. In my experience, Ryel succeeds in building the bridge between heart and mind with immaculate precision, in a language that (I imagine) everyone can understand and apply. I’ve recently met Ryel in person and received some of his teachings. With my hand on my heart: there is no gap whatsoever between the writings of Ryel and the person of Ryel.
