Amazing product and works very well
Recommend by our vets as a cheaper alternative to what you get at the vets pharmacy. This works brilliantly for poorly pets and helps easy tummy issues. We’ve bought this multiple times for both our dogs when they’ve had bad gut issues from changing foods, eating something they shouldn’t have and our frenchie who has allergies. This works very well and quickly. The vets recommended this as a better long term solution as well. This is very effective and I highly recommend, good to have some in the cupboard just in case as well.

Does the job really well
Following a bad bout of colitis at xmas our dog continued to have bouts of diarrhea with blood in despite 2 visits to the vet and taking all the medication prescribed. We then had a fecal test done which was all clear. 6 weeks down the line and £450 out of pocket we were faced with doing blood tests when I saw this advertised and decided to give it a go first. From the first sachet our dogs problem cleared up and 3 weeks later having given him a sachet a day he is back to his normal self. Vet has said to leave the blood tests for now and to continue giving this as it can be taken long term although we will reduce it to every other day in the near future. So definately worth trying this in conjunction with vet advice. Much cheaper than vet bills as well. I thought it worth coming back with an update to my original review. Our dog has been taking this now for 6 months. We have so far not had any further problems with diarrhea, blood in stools or colitis. It seems to be working very well for our dog. I have checked with two vets who have said it is fine to keep him on it long term. We are currently giving one sachet a day mixed with wet food. He either likes the taste or doesn't notice it is mixed in his food. It is quite expensive but in the 5 years we have had our dog it has cost a fortune in the vet with his problem so this needs to be taken into account.

Would recommend - reliable product
Have used the paste previously so that was my first port of call when I purchased two kittens that turned out to have very upset tummies. After a couple of days with no improvement I took to vet to rule out infections/intestinal parasites etc. Concluded they just had sensitive tummies due to being weaned incorrectly/too early. Switched to a gastro-intestinal diet and this product. Took a week or so to see a change but now all good so will stick with this for a few months before trying to wean off. It is very expensive (especially when you have two) but countered by the decrease in cat litter usage! All in all very happy and would recommend.

Worth every penny
I have gone through two years of being back and forth at the vets with my dog suffering badly from acid reflux and diarrhea, I have tried many different brands of probiotics along with many different brands of food, my dog has been taking this one for 4 months daily and it instantly made an improvement we wouldn't be without it hes much more healthier and happier now I would recommend it to anyone thats having similar issues its worth every penny.

Instrumental in my dog's gut health
My dog has suffered with IBD due to being on long term metacam which caused him eventually to develop a painful ulcer. The vets wanted him to stay on omaprazole indefinitely which was always hit n miss in effectiveness. It was only when I saw a homeopathic vet that she suggested an alternate routine to try and heal his gut (rather than simply line it!) and she recommended Protexin. We've never looked back since! Plus, as he isn't reacting badly to his foods, even his arthritis has improved. Finally - greats poos, good breath, good coat and better ear health. Great product.

Absolutely brilliant
After going to the vet 6 times with my 2 poorly labradors and being prescribed antibiotics, paste, gaviscone for dogs. Bland diet for days etc etc I was at a loss nothing had worked in over 4 weeks! I gave these a go as a last resort and within 7 days I'm no longer using a garden hose to clean poo up! I wish I knew sooner I'd have saved over 1k in vet bills.
