A fantastic little instrument.
This is a wonderful little guitar. I bought it for my son who has been playing bass for about a year now and is almost glued to one of his instruments at all times. He asked for a fretless and not wishing to spend too much we opted for this one. It's lovely, feels good, sounds good and represents excellent value for money. It is currently his favourite bass.

Nice guitar, Shame about the packaging.
This is a better guitar than I was expecting. It needed a lot of setup out of the box, keep this in mind if you are a beginner, it was unplayable with fret buzz until adjusted. It is quite heavy but not the heaviest guitar I have. It has a pretty good jazz tone with the supplied strings. I haven't tried better strings yet. The guitar seems well constructed, the body is a single piece and the finish is pretty good. It plays well after a setup, the neck is quite slim front to back all the way up but the width feels more P than J to me and the fretboard is quite flat. None of this bothers me but it might be an issue to others. My main problem was the woefully inadequate packaging. The first one arrived badly damaged. It only came in a thin box, no protection at all for something so heavy. The second one arrived with slight damage, in the same flimsy box, it was just luckier. I kept it as it was the last one and I only paid 62 pounds for it. At that price the guitar is a bargain. At the 154 pounds it usually is, I think you could do better. If you buy one of these, get it elsewhere where you can pick it up without damage and have it set up to be playable.

Stagg 3/4 bass guitar
I bought the 'wooden' version of this guitar a couple of years ago on Amazon. I hated it from the word go and gave it to a fellow guitarist. At his one day we decided to play guitar and I didn't have mine with me, so I used the Stagg. My friend loved his from the word go, and he plays a Precision!!! Now I love the guitar, the black one which I have is slightly lighter in weight, which helps. Don't anyone be fooled by the fact that it is a three quarter size bass. It's a gutsy guitar, brilliant tone, and lovely to play. We play with others frequently and its more than up to that.

Best budget fretless IMHO
Great value fretless bass, well made, sounds great. You can get a lot of tone variation between the Jazz style pickup and the Precision pickup. Action is good and I found no need to adjust it, my husband made a video demo when it arrived. http://youtu.be/7-O9WB77jZA

Cheap & Nasty
Simply horrendous. Thin lightweight body with a neck that moves under pressure. The sound is flat. Mine arrived with a broken 'G' machine head which wouldn't tighten and I have no confidence in the others. Overall there are much better basses out there for just a few more bucks. Been playing guitar for 42 years and just wanted a fretless bass for the odd session. Although my main passion is synthesizers and I'm not an 'amazing' guitarist, I know enough to say that this bass is best avoided.

Plays well, feels great
For a cheap bass this is pretty good; the tone is nice with plenty of bottom end without losing clarity, has a decent amount of sustain, and the controls give a reasonable amount of tonal range. Physically it's well finished, the neck is nice and slippery, and it's also surprisingly light: normally after an hour or so playing my shoulder is killing me, but you could almost forget you're wearing this. On the downside the action is a little high -- once you get past 7th fret or so it's difficult to play with any speed, and there doesn't seem much scope for adjustment, but other than that I can't really fault it.

Solid Bass but needs attention before use.
Although it's cheap, this Bass isn't for a complete beginner or someone who is expecting to pull it out of the box and for it to just work. When my Bass first arrived the truss rod needed adjusting and the bridge needed replacing which was quite annoying. Apart from all that, the strings and wiring of the Bass is all fine and the Guitar itself is quite a solid instrument. The packaging left a lot to be desired as it came in a thin, flimsy box (which for me was left out in the rain by the delivery company and potentially could have ruined the Bass entirely) and the veneer won't look shiny forever

Excellent value for money
Excellent value for money. I just wanted a bass guitar to play at home. This guitar is very playable with a sturdy construction and good finish.
