Brilliant Lens
I bought this to replace my Canon 24-105 L F4 IS series lens. I am very impressed with the Sigma build and image quality. It produces very sharp images and being an F2.8 works great in low light conditions. All this combined with the image stabiliser, I would recommend this as an ideal everyday lens for keen photographers.

GREAT LENS BUT I HAVE A NIGGLE......
Lens arrived on time..... (some 14 days from Hong Kong). Not an Amazon sale. I was impressed by the packaging (from Hong Kong). I noted that it was despatched from a ground floor flat on Devon Rd HK. I was not impressed by the fact that the security seal had been broken on the box it was opened. See photo above. I immediately applied for a return, Then something happened that had not happened before when shopping at Amazon.... the supplier phoned me up to establish what the problem is. I was offered a story I still find a bit thin. Other things that made me curious - not the expected black/red box. No gold lettering on the lense barrel. I am just a bit twitchy. I called the guy back in Leeds after I had opened & tested the lens on my Nikon Z6 24 meg. Pxl. The lense is good... V. good. See the 2 samples above. The money is at 200% enlargement....... The Miranda camera is a studio shot enlarged to 100%. I agreed to keep the lens. The supplier offers the g'tee. Not Sigma. Lets see how it goes.

Incredible glass?
I have this lens adapted for use using viltrox EF to RF adapter on my EOS R. To say I'm blown away would be an understatement! This compares in sharpness to my Sigma 35 1.4 and that is an amazing piece of glass that has sharpness for days! It's well renowned for its image quality, and this 24-70 matches up perfectly! If you're a wedding photographer I highly recommend this lens! The images are beautiful!

Top-class performance and image quality
This Sigma 24-70mm Art lens is simply superb. Image quality is very sharp with great contrast, throughout the entire zoom range. This holds true even when shooting at the widest aperture, which gives beautifully soft and smooth rendition for defocused areas within a scene. Colour fringing, distortions, ghosting and flare are all minimal. Build quality and handling are great and, although it's not a 'weather-sealed' lens, a rubber gasket on the mounting plate helps to avoid the ingress of dust or water between the camera body and the lens. Autofocus is fast yet very quiet, and the optical stailizer has an effectiveness of about 3 to 4 stops. I write camera and lens reviews for a number of photography magazines and use both Canon and Nikon DSLRs. Faced with the choice of which standard zoom lens to buy, and after testing all the options, I went for this Sigma lens in preference to both of the equivalent top-grade Canon and Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 lenses. I don't regret it for a moment.

Marvellous gohto piece of kit
This in now my go to lens. It would be 5stars all the way but images are not quite as sharp as those taken with my prime lenses. Having said that, the quality is extremely high so no complaints.

UK buyer beware
Bought from Amazon UK. Supplied by Amazon EU. Unfortunately, upon registering discovered that the warranty is not applicable to the UK. £40 extra for any repairs. Would have returned it and bought a legit UK import from another retailer but for the fact that the lens I have needs no additional calibration. That said, I will no longer be buying any other expensive goods supplied by Amazon EU that benefit from warranty registration.

Not worthy of the "Art" badge.
I purchased this lens from Wex Photographic a couple of weeks ago but had to return it as it's horribly soft. I tried using the Sigma USB dock to do some micro adjustments, however found that it didn't help. Using the lens at 24mm I found I had to stop down to about f8 to achieve a level of sharpness that was "satisfactory". Throughout the rest of the focal range, it was ok from about f5.6 and smaller. I did not expect a brand new Sigma Art release to be as much of a disappointment as this was. Seeing as f2.8 is unusable, you may as well go for the Sigma 24-105 f4 Art for much better sharpeness and a fraction of the price.

Fantastic lens. I use this for everything, but particularly great for low-light concerts

Bel objectif SIGMA, bon piqué, mise au point rapide, bon rapport qualité/prix, le Dock USB SIGMA s'avère nécessaire pour le calibrer correctement avant la première utilisation

I was for a really long time looking for a lens that could do everything. I found this one and watched lots of videos about it. I am so glad I got it, to me it's the perfect choice between a prime lens and a zoom lens. The 24-70 is so versatile, and the f2.8 allows you to do a lot more in low light. I would've liked a f1.4 or a f1.8 but I don't know if it is possible. It is heavy obviously but worth it. The materials are premium, except the glossy part at the bottom that catches finger prints way to much for me, I would've liked the same mat finish everywhere. other than that it is really satisfying to use, the feeling is great, really smooth zoom. The focus is really quick for videos and pictures. I use it for portraits or event shoots, does a really good job but still missing that f1.4 or f1.8 a bit for that bokeh effect that I love on prime lenses, the bokeh is still really good for such a versatile lens, and I was often surprised, and you can easily blur the background in editing after. It is also really good for car photography, and I think that it is even a better lens if you're planning on using it for street photography, A little heavy for traveling but you're technically packing so many lenses in one and can be so creative with it. go from the 24mm to the 35mm, 50mm and 70mm, it's just great. Pretty sharp but you need to make sure the focus doesn't mess up, doesn't happen often but it can. I use it on a R7 and my rp and I needed a RF adapter. Works perfectly no issues. The stabilisation is pretty good. Planning on getting a Sigma 85mm f1.4 really soon. Excited to use this combo in shoots really soon. I highly recommend the 24-70mm, it is my favorite lens for now on.

This is a great general purpose lens. It’s quality is consistent with Sigma’s claims about its Art range. The service from Diamonds Cameras was the best I’ve experienced. I would highly recommend them.
