Living in Las Vegas, the searing 110+ heat could be fatal to my exterior cams. I had a ring outdoor cam that at times of the day was in full sun. This protection Hood was the perfect shading solution. Yes, it's ABS plastic but it is sleek and well made. It even comes with attachment hardware and wall anchors that worked well in the exterior stucco. A great product that I recommend for shade or rain solutions.

I mounted the cover on a house with vinyl siding, so it doesn't fit flush against the house. I used some clear caulk to add 1" weather stripping to the sides of the cover to provide a seal against the elements. There are screw holes for mounting - 2 on the top and some on each side. On the side, I used some make-shift "shims" to allow me to secure the sides with long screws so the cover should not be affected by high winds. The cover has a gasket on the edge where it's mounted against the building, but the gasket is fairly thin. It would probably hold up okay if mounted against a flat wall rather than the vinyl siding. The cover is mounted over a Wyze Pan 3 camera, which is "water resistant", not water proof. The cover provides a decent amount of protecting although the bottom part of the camera will get wet if the wind is blowing. Not much I can do about that - you'd need a much bigger cover if you were trying to keep it completely dry.

So far so good, I have the camera mounted on a large palm tree so I purchased this to protect it from falling fronds.

I bought this cover from one of my outdoor cameras that’s exposed to the weather. The little covers that clip onto the Blink system just aren’t sufficient for the rain. Pretty much makes the camera useless because of all the water running across the lens. This cover did the trick! And it’s large enough to go over the protective cage I’ve added to that camera. It’s very thick material and seems like it will last.

I have the Wyze cameras installed around my house and these fit perfect over the camera to shied from rain and snow. Does not block any of the camera visability. Easy to install. Would buy again.

Good quality

Shields the camera from most weather but fog tends to blur the lens. Also need to keep it free from spiders and hornets from setting up shop.
