The BEST of all Marie Sharps, and the best hot sauce, period
I have tried all of Marie Sharps hot sauces (I bought a sampler pack, and have also bought some other full size bottles). The beware is the best. It has the most flavor compared to the red pepper sauces. It's plenty hot - just use more the hotter you want it. I like this much better than Marie Sharp's Red Hornet sauce. The red hornet sauce is hotter (so I can use less of it to get the same heat effect), but it gives me stomach cramps almost immediately. The Beware does not. That said, I go through a bottle quickly because I like things quite hot, so I use it in quantities that others might use ketchup. Still, it is the best and most flavorful actually-hot hot sauce out there. Really fantastic on so many foods, but I especially love it on Fajitas or with black beans or eggs and potatoes.

Can be deceptive at first but it's as good as everyone says
I tested it on a slice of pizza. It was somewhat flavorful and at most medium spicy at first. I added more and more to the slice to get a better taste of it but it just wasn't enough. When I finished the pizza, I put a few more drops of this stuff on the plate and just ate that. Suddenly I sneezed out of nowhere. Then again. As I rush to the kitchen, my mouth is now on fire. Two cups of cold milk and half glass of ice water later, I'm here writing this review. It is a pretty good hot sauce. Good flavor, thin consistency, and perfectly spicy.

Heat with Taste!
I was first introduced to this carrot-based habanero pepper sauce while visiting our son, who was in Air Force flight training in Del Rio, Texas. Although the sauce was made in Belize and was under a different label at that time, it not only had the desired heat, but it had true flavor. The brand at that time advertised three versions of heat, labeled as X, XX, and XXX, with triple X being the hottest. My wife and I bought several bottles of each heat level at a grocery store in Del Rio, and quickly discovered that XX was the best heat level, with XXX so hot that the taste disappeared. Unfortunately, when we ran out after a few months, we discovered that this sauce brand was not available at our local grocery; thus, I ordered a case via the internet. Later, I discovered that the brand, although the same name, was not the same product. Having thought I had found the perfect pepper sauce, I was very disappointed when the case arrived with a much darker color in the sauce, accompanied by a totally different taste. I read the fine print on the label only to discover that this sauce, again bearing the same name brand name as found in Del Rio, was made in Colombia and not in Belize. I frugally did my best to develop a taste for the new case of sauce, but I just could not. Then one day at the local grocery store I saw bottles of Marie Sharp's habanero pepper sauce, which was the same orange color as the brand discovered in Del Rio. I picked up a bottle and read the label and saw that it came from Belize, and it came it hot and "Beware" heat levels. I took a chance and bought a bottle of both, and found that the carrot-based habanero taste was what I remembered from my first tasting in Del Rio. And, I found that both the hot and "Beware" were to my liking, although the latter was the equivalent to my favorite--the old XX of the original brand. I was elated and bought the "Beware" until our local grocery quit selling the Marie Sharp label. So, once again I went to the internet, and for now I am again happy. Good heat, but not scorching, and good taste. Based on experience, and I cannot say for how long, I am content tonight. Only a hot sauce aficionado would understand.

Feel the Burn!
I've tried more hot sauces than I can recount. I've found that in general they fall into three categories: 1 - Flavor with no heat. 2 - Heat with little flavor. 3 - Hot and great flavor. By far number three is the rarest. I've only found a handful of hot sauces that really hit the sweet spot. This hot sauce might be the hottest sauce I've found that still has incredible flavor. The heat creeps up on you. At first you don't think it's too hot, but then you suddenly find your mouth burning like a match. The flavor is so good you keep going though. These bottles are the larger bottles. This makes them a decent value. This one is typically a good value to begin with. I've always found it to be cheaper than a lot of others that are on the market. I've used this by itself on chips, on burritos, tacos, over pasta, and more. It seems to work well with a wide variety of foods. This one for sure is going into my regular rotation. I love it, even when I eat too much of it and end up in the bathroom the next day.

Must have sauce for chile heads!
I think Marie Sharps Habanero sauces are the best in the world, among them this is my current #1. I first tried original Marie Sharps Habanero over 10 years ago. That line has been a staple ever since. Over time I have been given (or tried on my own) hotter versions of the original as they were released, and each time I got to revisit the pure pleasure combination of flavor and heat that this sauce provides. This version, which is their regular habanero but using only select habanero peppets, is my current favorite among virtually all hot sauces. While some other sauces excel at niche purposes, this is my favorite all purpose sauce when looking for a step up from your typical Louisiana based pepper sauce. When it comes to pure sauce flavor, this beats all those others, hands down. I provided a picture of my two closest favorites to this sauce, with a comparable heat range (in my opinion). You can't go wrong with any of these, but notice the larger size bottle of Marie Sharps, which was ordered in a pack of two. That says something. For the novice chile-head, start with the original Marie Sharps Habanero sauce, then workyour way up. For crazy people, say hello to your all purpose sauce. For those who simply want pain, order some pure capsaicin crystals and follow your prescribed doctors orders to avoid death. This is for flavor, not pain.
