Bought as a birthday present for my 4 year old grand daughter to go with her first pedal bicycle. She'd had plenty of practice on a balance bike, didn't want to start off with stabilisers, so some protection was essential! The elbow and knee pads are now well scuffed, but her elbows and knees are undamaged, so the pads obviously work well. The pads fitted well, and there is plenty of allowance in the velcro straps to allow for growth. The only draw back was with the hand/wrist protectors, which were too stiff and cumbersome for her to operate the brakes on her bike effectively, but that's a minor consideration; they''re probably more use for skateboarding, roller skating and blading. Seeing the scuffs and scratches on the pads after her first ride made the purchase well worthwhile - and she loved their pink colour!

Not enough padding, though they were strong. But then the elastic velcro ripped off in a single use. Although the seller offered a refund it was too late to send them back as they have been used. For a couple of quid more, you get much better quality ones on Amazon. This was the response from the seller - "These are recreational children's pads and are designed to protect the joints on bumps and falls but are not professional protection gear. For the price, they cannot be expected to perform to the same standard and are really just meant for younger children to avoid grazes and scrapes."

I bought these pads for my 5 year old daughter in size M and I couldn’t be happier. In my opinion they are perfect for younger children. Maybe if you are looking for some "professional" pads, these are not yours but to avoid damage caused by falls in small children they are perfect. I would not recommend them for children older than 8-9 years since they need more specific protections but for young children, beginners in rollerblading or cycling they are absolutely fine, more than enough. Quite sturdy and well made. They protect the joints very well. My daughter has already used them several times and they have been perfect for her. I have taken a photo so that you can see how they are on the inside and outside.

Seem nice and durable, with the Velcro nice and strong. Not overly comfortable but obviously rigid for a reason.

Very thin foam padding inside. I don’t think it will protect knees/elbow when falling.
