Thermos 187122 ThermoCafé Soft Touch Plastic Travel Mug, Red, 420 ml

This is an almost perfect product which keeps my tea hot for at least 45 minutes and doesn’t have any metallic or rubbery taste which other products have had, in my experience. I like the handle too and indeed the whole look of the single-coloured finish. My only caveat is that the movable slot in the lid (which opens to let you drink) sometimes slides shut again when you tilt it to drink! Oddly it doesn’t always happen but it’s very annoying when it does as I have to use my other hand to hold it back which is cumbersome. That said I’d buy it again as it’s much better than alternatives I’ve tried.

I bought this to replace my 6 year old one which was the exact same. They are a fantastic light thermal cup for the morning coffee on the way to the first job in the morning, keeps my coffee nice and warm for an hour without preheating, coffee straight from the Nespresso machine. It is the best thermal cup I have found that fits the cup holders in the work van (16 Renault traffic) without falling out and making a mess, so for that alone I will continue with these cups. The only minor down sides I have found are that cleaning the lid is a pain as after some time dry coffee can block/restrict the breather hole which is in the slide. When it blocks up it pretty much stops the flow of coffee from the cup, so a thorough clean is critical. Also the stainless centre is attached to the plastic putter by a steel bolt on the base of the cup under the foam, over time (years) this bolt rusts and the foam with drift from the bottom. All in all a great cup for a real good price.

Kept my drinks hot for ages,even with the top off. However, i don't think this is a true travel mug as you have keep it upright at all times. It's not leakproof and there is a sticker on the side of the cup which clearly tells you this. However - it suits my purposes just fine, and I'm happy with the mug. Gorgeous colours too!

I bought this for my wife, as she was starting a new job that involved a commute of up to 90 mins each way by car. As she'd be leaving early each morning, I thought it would be nice for her to be able to enjoy a cuppa during her drive. She has since changed office and no longer requires the commute, but she says that she will actually miss the driving because this cup made it much more enjoyable! She would make the tea about 10 mins before leaving the house, and it would still be hot when she arrived in the office. The size is a perfect fit for most car cup-holders, and the colour is very eye-catching! The opening on the top is closable, meaning she could keep it closed while navigating windier roads, and then flip it open and start drinking when she was on the motorway (where there is less chance of splashing). This isn't a flask so don't expect it to keep your drink hot for hours, but if you simply want it to make those winter morning commutes more bearable, it is a great choice.

The lid is very loose fitting and slips from cup when being transported. The slide-cover to the drinking slot is loosed and just slides freely ie does not remain closed as it should. The rubber base has bubbled and distorted meaning unstable to stand. The content stay heated for a negligible time - I would have anticipated, as with most thermos products, that the contents would stay heated for at least a couple of hours. I bought 3 of these products and, whilst not expensive, I am disappointed and would not recommend

The lid is not good ( push on ) only keeps drink warm for just over an hour.

I purchased this mug with the following aims: - Being able to carry a hot drink away from the home. - Keeping said drink warm for a prolonged period of time. To my pleasure, it does all of the above with quality and style. If I had one gripe it would be that the lid is a little too keen to come off, this should pose a problem for most but could present complications for the more extreme commuting coffee drinkers out there.

He tenido varios termos y este es el primero que al mínimo movimiento cae el líquido, con un simple golpe de mano sale por la parte superior y ya no os cuento si lo llevas en una bolsa y se gira un poco, te quedas sin café. El problema no es la tapa que cierra a presión sino la parte superior por la que en teoría puedes beber, no es estanco ni queda fijado, se mueve cómo quiere y la verdad no lo entiendo, los otros termos que he tenido les tienes que abrir tu con el dedo, este sin abrir ya cae el líquido. Un desastre vamos, el otro que tenía y que se me rompió porque se me cayó era de la misma marca pero no tienen nada que ver con este.
