Silverline TB52 Canvas Tool Bag 620 x 185 x 175 mm

My old tool case had seen better days so I looked around for a replacement. There are a number of plastic boxes which did not suit my needs but then I stumbled onto this bag. At a throw away price I tentatively ordered this and it has met my needs admirably. I can get more items in this bag than I ever got in the old case but because of its construction it weighs the same as my old case with less tools in it. The canvas material and stitching appear strong enough. Overall I am very pleased and so cheap. 5*

This bag was advertised as 620mm. This is NOT 620mm. When I opened the packaging it said 600mm. When I measured it, it was actually 595mm. Although this may not seem much, I bought it for a specific reason. I needed to store 2 600mm rulers as part of my tools in the bag. Added to this the fact that the zip stops short by 35mm at each end, now, instead of having 20mm extra the bag is actually 75mm too short. Quality is ok but be aware of the sizing. Not worth returning for the cost so am stuck with it!

I think:Some Silverline items are fit for purpose but don't last if you push them too hard, but do last if you don't. And some are not fit for purpose and fail quickly. Looking at it I guess it fits in the former bracket and, as usual from Silverline - it could have been made to last a long time by a 10% increase in the cost of it's raw materials.

Proper canvas material. Ideal for carrying my collection of saws.

I bought this bag to hold a jack and some tools for my car.It's perfect for it. Just the right size for a standard car scissor jack.It's quite thin and I'm not sure how long it would last as a well used tool bag but it's ideal for the purpose I bought it for and very cheap!

Pretty good canvas bag.It’s light and yet the material seems sturdy. The quality of the bag is good.Only downside for me is that the zip doesn’t cover the full length of the bag, so whilst the one I bought is 18 inches in length, I can barely get items in it up to 16 inches long.I use this to store 16 inch crossbow bolts, but it’s a real struggle getting them in and out...
