Shea moisture Organic African Black Soap Bar with Shea Butter, 8oz

Omg!! I know a few people said “this isn’t the REAL African black soap” but I thought I know this brand and as a newbie to this, I felt safe ordering it and I’m sooooo sooo glad I did - ever since I’ve been on my contraceptive pill (about 4 years now) my skin went mental and i now suffer from adult hormonal acne - I’ve tried millions of regimes, diets and products and spend hundreds but Sadly have never gotten amazing results - I decided to go back to my roots and had see many girls of my ethnicity raving about this soap and how it “cured” acne and so I decided to test this in my cleansing routine and within a week of using this my skin for the first time in years looks amazing and smooth - the dark spots and bumps are fading and my skin overall looks healthy and I’ve gotten many compliments on how it looks glowy now too! Some tips / facts for anyone who wants to buy this: 1. It smells amazing 2. Cut it up into dices as it’s a fat bar and you don’t need to use it all and it will last forever 3. As it’s quite strong - I use it once every night followed by a small amount of tea tree face wash 4. This bar will last a long time Overall this is 10/10 and I hope it carry’s on working for me! I was pretty sceptical of this product. Gave it a shot after seeing the reviews and in desperation to help my skin. My face, chest and back having scars from spots and my constant picking. Within 3 days there's was a noticeable difference. Spots had dried out, scars had lightened. It has even 2 weeks now and nearly all my spots are gone, scars lighten. Spots appearing SIGNIFICANTLY reduced, smaller and less angry when they do occur. The soap does dry out the skin however, it is not harsh. It's now apart of my routine and will continue to buy and recommend. Wish I took before and after pics

This felt really nice on the skin when using it,.... As for weather it's an original or not I am not sure,... The consensus is based on the reviews that I have previously read, is that the original is much softer than this soap,... But it was really nice and left my skin feeling nice and clean.

I'm dark skinned and since I started using this soap I noticed it's maintained my skin colour. It's also a big bar and can last for about 2 months or more depending on storage and how frequent it is used.

This soap is okay but not fantastic for a black soap. I believe it's not an African black soap but just a normal soap. It's not 100 percent natural but it's just okay like every other soap. It doesn't leave your skin dry

I was apprehensive to try a new soap as I have very sensitive skin - a lot of body washes for baby skin even make me itchy! I gave this a try and have had no irritation at all, it smells lovely too which is always a concern with more natural products. My skin is clearer than it usually is too. The bar is very large so will last me a long time so great value for money.

I didn't want to write a review until i had tested this out for a while. So i have been using this twice a day for 2 weeks now and it is the best thing ever. I don't like liquorice but to be honest it smells beautiful but if you dont like it, don't worry because the smell doesn't linger after you was your face. Now i have extremely allergy prone skin and have been having some really bad reactions to almost everything. This has been a massive help. Honestly, get rid of all your experience face washes and use this. It is much more natural and it doesn't irritate your skin one bit. The bar is huge and after 2 weeks of continuous use it doesn't even look like it has shrunk at all so will definitely last a while. The delivery was basically the next day which was really impressive for free delivery. The only two products i know use on my face (except for makeup now and then) is plain yoghurt with tumeric as a face mask. And this twice a day everyday.

This stuff is brilliant, removes 100% of face make up and, if used carefully over closed eyes, takes off 95% of mascara (but not the waterproof kind) so I use coconut oil as make up remover first. I also use this as my only body shower product (great for shaving legs too) and my skin is glowing and not irritated (I have ezcema) at all. My blemishes (sunspots&freckles) are fading and my face is so soft after 3 months of morning and nightly use. This stuff is such a well kept beauty secret! Note: I recommend cutting the main block into a few inchxinch smaller bars (storing the rest in a cool dry place inside a sandwich bag - keeping the one I'm using in a suspended soap tray (to dry after use). I have the rest of the blocks individually plastic wrapped each, as the soap tends to crack and disintegrate if exposed to too much water and of course; to use, lather it in your hands first, so as not to scratch your face with any present natural debris (cocoa nibs). This is a lovely soap. Very moisturising. Here's the thing, all my life I have used a facial cleanser, spent a small fortune on them, well, this felt so good on my skin I thought I'd try washing my face with it! I was suprised at how soft it made my face feel and clean!! That's it now, I'll forever be using this product and saving heaps. Just bought 2 more bars as they were on special. An awesome find!! Very Happy and less clutter in the shower!!!

Clean and smooth skin

This soap is amazing for dry itchy skin, especially during the winter season. It has a light fragrance & it lasts a long time. Great product for the price & it works to keep your skin healthy.
