Q: The lamp seems to work ok but the remote is faulty & doesn’t work. Really disappointed. Can the seller send me a replacement remote control that works

Have you taken the little strip of plastic out of the remote where the battery is, it's at the bottom of the remote the battery slot pulls out, if not try a new battery

Q: Does the little red light go out when the lamp is fully charged?

No it doesn't and also it whistles whilst charging resulting on having to disconnect it without knowing whether it is fully charged or not due to the red light not turning off.
