Beautiful bell and whistle. Bought two for our family camping trips. I couldn’t figure out how to use the whistle but my 4 yr old did at first try. It was strong and loud. The bell has a weight that keeps it from ringing too easily. I think I like it that way. I don’t know if I can tolerate having it constantly ring every time I move.

Super construction on these items. Easy to place anywhere on my pack. Loud too but not annoying to my human ears. Whistle sound carries really well. These are pocket size and fit in my pants pocket that is smaller than normal size. This combo of whistle and bells is really essential for hiking. Would buy again

People on the trail asked us about our bells several times. They are good quality and loud enough but not overly annoying. Must work because we didn't see a bear .

I bought the set with 2 pieces of bells and whistles. Quality is great. I like the sound the bell makes and is louder than some bells that we encountered in our hike. Bell size is bigger than other bells I saw and would love it if it is a little bit smaller. Good thing it has a rope to tie the bell when you want to silence it. Whistle is great but I have to buy separate lanyards to hang it on our necks. Great brass material and looks like it’s going to last for a long time and many hikes. Haven’t met a bear of a mountain lion and don’t know yet if it does the job but that’s good. Or maybe it did work and the bell sound frightened them away 😄

Purchased for hiking the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. Loud and light. They made us feel much better when we were out on the trail alone. We didn't see any bears, so they must have worked 😀

I was surprised how well made these are. The sound is crisp, resonates and will clearly carry on a long distance. Pleasant ring, I could almost hang as chimes. Easy to silence when needed.

Satisfied with the quality of the bells and whistles, also, the feel of the bell is heavy and the sound penetrates well. However, for whistles, the chain did not look strong enough and one of it was lost during hiking.

Hiking around the Tahoe area we have encountered black bears, bobcats, and coyotes near the trails. Since we often hike with our dog, it was reassuring to have a bell to alert the wildlife. It also has a nice tone.
