easy to form & smooth

I needed to modify a woodworking dust collector to support a canister filter. I had to make a wood donut out of plywood to insert into the top of the collector frame to separate and support the filter. The donut had to be sealed to prevent air and dust escaping back into the shop. I used a silicone caulk fill the voids from the top but could not use it to fill the voids from the bottom. Hard to reach with caulking gun and while the silicone caulk was still somewhat in a liquid form would tend not to stay in place. It was recommended to use a moldable silicone putty for the bottom side of the donut. The downside is there were no instructions and no safety precautions in the packaging. Or at least none in English. I rolled the putty on a stone cutting board using nitrite gloves. This stuff sticks to almost everything so I had to use a separate pair of gloves for each package. Using my fingers I pushed the putty in between the wood donut and the metal frame of the dust collector. It stayed in place. I won’t know for sure how well it worked for a few days until I complete all the modifications on the dust collector and test for air leaks but it looks promising and has worked in videos I saw on the internet.

I bought this product once before and it was great worked perfectly but I had another project and bought it again and the product was not usable. It was the worst!! When I opened the package parts of it was wet like it should be and the other part of it was hard and not usable. Half the product ended up going in the trash it was a complete waste of money

This product is impossible to use right out of the package. It’s like wet dough and will stick to EVERYTHING. (Photo1) Either freeze it for about an hour or expose it to air for a couple of hours. (Photo 2) I used it to patch up a hole in the corner of an outdoor shed. (Photo 3) So far, so good. We’ll see how it dries out over the next few days.

Less messy than monkey s***, and does the job.

Great for plumbing. Water-resistant like plasticine, it is easy to clean any holes and gaps in the connection between pipes and wall.
