Best Android double din head unit for sound quality and great customer support!
Customer service is great! I bought this unit for the built in dsp so when I install amplifier with subwoofers. This has quality RCA with higher voltage for aftermarket sound system installation. You really can't beat this unit for the price point! Trust me I have done extensive research to find the best bang for the buck. This high quality Android head unit has HDMI port on the back which is only found on high quality units. It also has tons of high quality RCA connections with built-in DSP and amp. Sounds way better than the stock stereo that I had in it previously even without an amplifier and subs attached to it. External microphone supported that I mounted on the pillar right above the steering wheel so that it can hear my voice great! Built-in DVR with high quality 1080p cameras that I can actually see the blue sky and the clouds even at night because the quality is so clear. True night vision cameras even without LEDs on them the quality is great! Maxpeedingrods customer service and support is amazing, you just have to give them your email in the message that you send to them through Amazon so that they can email you because Amazon will block the links that they send to try to help you. This company is amazing I wanted a customized boot logo for my company truck and they built the boot logo for me and send it in a file with instructions on how to install it. The password to get into the the system settings is 3368 if you need to change certain parameters of the head unit. Android auto works great with it and even has the map and the Pandora music streaming player side by side so you can use both at once for safe driving convenience. Just make sure that you go into Android Auto settings in start the head unit server in developer mode in Android Auto and turn on wireless connectivity. USB tethering is much faster and stable but all in all I am completely happy and satisfied with the quality of this Android head unit double DIN stereo. Thank you Maxpeedingrods you guys are great and I appreciate all the support. Can't beat the quality for the price. This is a high quality units that really has features of much more expensive head units.

Good sound quality. horrible user interface.
First of all this unit would not come with a bezel and both the scoched and metra bezels that I nought we’re too small had to grind one down from inside to fit. Secondly the CarPlay is laggy it’s true it’s wireless but very laggy takes a second to switch tracks if you switch back and forth it’s annoying. Not to mention when I watched a video on my YouTube app connected to CarPlay there’s a delay meaning the video and sound is not synced. Also could not use usb to use CarPlay connected all three ports and keep getting the same pop up message. “To connect CarPlay regular use otg USB port.” And finally the unit is very buggy when I was using YouTube (it’s android has apps) or another app the screen would flicker on and off. This was the final nail in the coffin for me to return. It as it is doa.

Pleasantly surprised
This device is based on Android. The interface is pretty, well, cheap... and looks that way. But this stereo is a bare bones system which is all I wanted. It supports AirPlay, Android Auto, has USB on the front, Aux 3.5mm jack on front too.... plus video input too. The Android it comes with? I could take it or leave it. But the Android Auto was what I wanted and it does that decently enough. As far as the sound.... I had to turn down my amplifier and subwoofer in the car because I think I turned it up louder for my old Sony radio. But this stereo sounds surprisingly well... it really does. It has a very large EQ on it (many, many bands)... But it is not very deep. That surprised me... but it works fine just the same. I think this took me about 15 min to hook up b/c I already had another head unit. I hooked up the +12V red, ground, +12V yellow always on, and blue remote line that was on the RCA jacks output (but with a pink remote line). Still, it runs really well and I think I need to tweak the install a bit to hook up the connector to the lights and dimming... If I had anything to complain about, it would be the Android interface (it's pretty bad).... the radio skin is ugly... it just is... but it works... Positives? Well, it sounds really decent for the price. If I play with the EQ a bit, I bet I could get a nice tone from it... but with my 4-way speakers and then a sub, I could hear subtle bits that I couldn't hear before. It was nice. If I spent $500, would I get a better stereo? Sure. This one cost me about $150 open box... but it worked fine. So it's not 100% gorgeous but it does the job and one interesting feature... you can turn off the lawyer speak of "don't use this device while driving, etc." which we all know not to do... ;) But it's still a nice buy at $160 and not very hard to install.
