I used this to make jello sea shells and they came out great. Mold is easy to work with and jello doesn’t stick.

They are very flexible and worked well with chocolate. After trial and error I found it easiest to use a butter knife to add chocolate. It starts to harden quickly so fill the mold with the smallest details first. I used luster dust afterwards and they turned out great!

Great molds, easy to work with, nice variety for “under the sea” theme cakes. Recommended!

I like to make soaps for gifts. I find it an oddly satisfying hobby.I plan to use these to pour soaps .. the mermaid tale and the one shell may be large enough to stand as soap, but the other will need to be placed inside a clear base to be enjoyed.Some of the designs are super closed in .. such as one of the twist shells.It will be interesting to see how well these peel back from the solid soaps, because my first thought was "this won't work" but after seeing how flexible and moldable the silicone is .. I think it could be done if you are careful to no rush it.

This is a nice 4 piece mold set. I used this for making decorations for a birthday cake and it turned out great!There are 4 pieces to the set. Two of the pieces have a variety of different "sea" type molds like shells, coral, starfish etc... The other two molds have one item each, that is larger. There is a mermaid tail mold by itself and a large seashell mold by itself. A really nice variety for a 4 piece setThe molds are on average 3" each. Not very large molds. But works great for making chocolate molds for cake decorating.The molds hold up well with hot tempered chocolate and when chocolate has cooled the mold is easy to bend to pop out the chocolate.Overall, the molds are easy to use and well made. They keep the shape of the mold and are thick enough to not bend under the weight of melted chocolate being poured in. Makes cute truffle shaped desserts also. Your skill level doesn't have to be advanced to use these.

I didn't expect for this mold of ocean themed molds to be so nice! I work with resin and so that's why these called out to me. The silicone disks are wonderfully soft and flexible- meaning you can more easily get your work out when it's completed. They are not so floppy that they will lose their shape when being moved. The variety of shapes is great and they are deeper than expected- which is great! They are also VERY detailed. The texture at the bottom of the molds is wonderful and brings a very realistic look to the pieces. I also like that there is a larger piece- the statement piece (mermaid) that will be a great centerpiece for a cake. These are wonderful, high quality molds and will make anyone who plays with resin, clay or fondant very happy.

I will pre-make these shapes so they will be dry enough to paint when she gets here. Then we can glue them to a piece of painted background cardboard to make a sea-themed scene.This first batch is made using plaster of Paris. I broke every starfish I removed, so I guess they are the most delicate. This is likely my fault for my choice of material, and getting in a hurry and removing them while they were still damp. Resin will likely be more durable too. But my granddaughter will likely not even notice. The casts were very easy to remove from the mold. I believe we will have a great time making Seaside scenes!!

These molds are so squishy and were cut very poorly. Save yourself time, money, and energy and buy some Wilton molds that will work and give a polished finish. The shapes are sloppy and do not match the product photos. The individual seashell mold is the worst one.
