Fantastic Customer Service!
I have been a dedicated user of SmallRig products for my video production company, and I recently had the opportunity to experience their exceptional customer service firsthand. While using the SmallRig Battery VB99, I encountered an issue where one battery stopped holding a charge, and the other charged slowly. As a professional relying on reliable equipment, this was a concern for my workflow. However, I reached out to SmallRig's customer service (Alex was a big help) and was pleasantly surprised by their swift and efficient response. They acknowledged my issue and promptly overnighted me two brand-new batteries as replacements. This level of support and dedication to their customers is truly commendable. Despite this isolated incident, I must emphasize that I remain a big fan of SmallRig and its products. Their extensive range of camera accessories has become an integral part of my professional setup. In terms of build quality, design, and functionality, SmallRig consistently delivers outstanding performance. It's important to note that encountering occasional issues is common with any product, but how the company handles them sets them apart. SmallRig's commitment to customer satisfaction and its willingness to go above and beyond to support small businesses like mine has earned my unwavering loyalty. I have complete confidence in SmallRig and its dedication to producing high-quality products. The SmallRig Battery VB99, despite the hiccup I faced, remains a valuable addition to my gear collection. I appreciate their exceptional customer service, reinforcing my decision to support SmallRig in the future. Overall, I highly recommend SmallRig to professionals and enthusiasts needing reliable camera accessories. With their top-notch customer service and a wide range of exceptional products, SmallRig has proven to be a reliable partner for my video production needs.

Powerful, Portable and PERFECT for all day shoots!
SmallRig continues to impress with the VB99 Mini V-Mount Battery. This ultracompact powerhouse packs a punch, delivering 99Wh/6800mAh of juice to keep your camera humming along all day. No more battery anxiety! **Small But Mighty** Despite its miniature size (think about 30% smaller than traditional V-mount batteries!), the VB99 boasts a remarkable 14.8V output and can support up to a 10A draw. This makes it perfect for powering mirrorless cameras like my Canon R5, as well as drones, gimbals, and other filmmaking essentials. The VB99 features a 65W PD USB-C output. This lets you not only keep your camera juiced via the D-Tap but also quickly charge your phone, tablet, or other devices on the go. Plus, the VB99 includes a D-Tap output, an 8V DC barrel output, and a 12V DC barrel output giving it incredible versatility. I use a Kondor Blue D-Tap to DC Cable (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08MR1NH4G) (also fantastic, by the way) - it's the perfect pairing for this battery if you are running a Canon R5. A perfect power source for the Wedding/Event photographer. Highly recommend!

My Favorite Battery for Engineering, Video Production, and Emergencies.
Most versatile battery I own. I have powered a Starlink Mini off of this for 1 hour. I have powered a portable TV off of this for 8 hours. It is an invaluable part of my kit and I buy a new one whenever they are on sale. Small enough to put in any bag, but enough power to be extremely useful!

Great battery
This battery works great! Puts out high voltage over D-tap and USB C, enough power to charge almost any device including a laptop. Super convenient. Unfortunately the USB-A port doesn't seem to stay on with certain devices. It turns on when you plug in, then shuts off after a few seconds. Everything else works great

Can’t go wrong! Charges fast and will power your small Mirrorless camera rig all day. I’ve owned a few of these for almost 2 years and they haven’t missed a beat!

Great battery but the LCD/LED screen is unusable can't see anything on it outdoors in the daytime
Love the design and look of this battery. Lasts 4 and a half hours powering my camera and Monitor shooting in 4K 60FPS. It does not get hot and charges faster than I could have ever thought. The only criticism that I have with this battery, is the screen. I shoot outside in Bright daylight most of the time and the screen with the battery percentage is unusable, even If I cup my hands around it, I can't see anything.

Big power for your mirrorless camera rig
Absolutely love this little battery. I use it to run my mirrorless camera video rig with a camera, monitor, microphone, and light. The DTAP port is awesome and I can shoot for hours without worrying about running out of power. It lives in my backpack as an emergency power bank when I'm on the trail and nowhere near electricity. It recharges quickly and holds its charge when not in use. No it's not as large as some batteries and there are certainly larger capacities out there, but the size/weight/cost/benefit ratio on this is really good. Super satisfied with this.

Good for a while, then worse.
How can a piece of equipment be so good, and so bad at the same time? I bought my Smallrig v99 practically days after it came out on the market; always trusting in the quality of Smallrig over all other products, and looking to have a rig on my A7IV that would allow me to use a single battery for long periods of time. At first I was delighted. Both in its form and design, as well as in its performance, they were always 10/10. One day, after about 8 months of use, suddenly my camera started to fail. A failure that only occurred when using the battery. No matter how I connected the camera (D-Tap, USB C, USB A, 8V... the failure continued persistently... and it ruined my work, stopping my recordings and interfering with flickers in the data I was recording. I started consulting with colleagues, who also use the same battery as me (the V99) and ALL OF THEM, WITHOUT EXCEPTION, started to present different issues, similar to mine. Some with charging issues, others with a USB C that no longer worked, and others bricked. I'm talking about approximately 10 people, who bought the battery more or less at the same time. Little by little, I stopped trusting it, and stopped using it as my only "reliable" work tool. Until one day, the worst happened. In full "regular" use of all the equipment, and recording the first dance at a wedding, it simply turned off, and did not turn on again. For a moment I thought it was charging... but; how is that possible? 2 or 3 minutes before I had checked and it said that there was approx. 35% of the battery left. No, it wasn't the charge. I connected it and it didn't do anything. At times, it showed the Smallrig logo on the screen, and it turned off as if it was drained. I was stunned. I connected it to charge via USB, and nothing. Via D-Tap, and it started to show signs of "charging".. and say 30%... but the second after disconnecting it, it came back and turned off. All this is very sad; because of the battery, and because of the brand. I came to Smallrig in the first place, with the hopes of giving it a much more professional look and use. I came looking for high quality equipment, and willing to pay the price to have it, (almost 300 dollars at its starting price) but all that was useless, if in the basic use of the camera, I can't even trust it. disappointed.
