Grandson, who is a very good tennis player asked for these for Christmas again this year. They’re the best according to him.

EXCELLENT strings...but probably not for a beginner or anyone who is prone to tennis elbow.
Excellent strings, but probably not good for a beginner. I enjoyed a VERY noticeable increase in control and spin on all my shots, but I lost a *LOT* of power. (Before you ask, my racket recommends 50-60lbs. of tension and these are co-poly strings, so I did have them installed with 15% lower tension like you're supposed to do for poly strings.) Whenever I went for a long, hard cross-court shot from the baseline I could feel every bit of the force of contact as it radiated from the strings, into the frame, down the grip...and eventually right into my elbow. I'm sure poor form on my part has something to do with it, but then that's while I say these probably aren't the best for beginners. It's definitely a high-quality string, though, and in a year or so, once I get better, I might return to them. But for now, I think I will stick to textured 17 gauge multi-filament strings in order to augment my spin while retaining my power and comfort. Something like Prince Lightning XX, Dunlop Hexy Fiber, Babolat Addiction/Origin, Prince Premier Control/Power/Touch, or Wilson NXT/Sensation.

Snapping strings
I’ve been using Luxilon strings for about 7 years. I love them for my type of game. Although I ordered 4 packets of these ALUs and 3 of the 4 snapped during stringing (~63 lbs). I’ve been stringing for nearly 14 years and never had this happened. The 4th strings did get strung but broke during middle of first set!? Like I said, I love these strings and never had this experience with any strings. I think it must have been a quality issue for this batch of strings, but cost me over $70! Note, I used my tension gauge to verify my stringers tensions, good to go. I then strung MSV Hex with no issues.

Best overall string ever but...
Best strings ever but wish it lasted 3-4 more hours more as it's pricey. The snapback (e.g. spin potential) on these strings are the best. May try thicker string gauge for better durability as I hit with a lot of pace.
