My daily ESWB is a white Simple Modern brand with a straw lid, and I felt like I was getting a sore throat when using it. I cleaned & cleaned it, but the problem persisted. One day, out in the bright sunlight, I noticed a little black dot down in the ball valve of the straw. I would have never even seen it if my lid had been a darker color. I used every tool I could think of and couldn’t keep gunk from growing in a small groove inside the rounded hinged part of that folding straw. I ordered this lid and I’m soooooo in love with it! No little crannies to hide gunk, and my straw stays completely clean from dirt when I’m out & about thanks to the clear lid. I haven’t had any problems drinking from it, as others have mentioned. I don’t even touch the straw part w my fingers. When you hit the latch, the clear lid pops up more than 90 degrees, and the straw pops to about a 45 degree angle. I just drink from there & I don’t have an issue with my face touching any part of the lid. Then I just use the clear lid to close the whole thing & never touch the straw w my dirty fingers. It fits my Simple Modern (s|m) 32oz Summit bottle with a good seal. I do find that if I’m not paying attention, it will easily cross thread, but it’s not a huge deal. I imagine that if I drop it with the lid open, that clear plastic lid will break off (as mentioned in other reviews)… I’m not sure how you want them to fix that, maybe make the lid bulkier to compensate? No thanks. I think I’ll just buy a second one to have on hand, just in case, bc I don’t ever want to go back to the factory lid again! P.S. - I also love the handle, it makes it easy & comfortable to carry. Thanks for designing a really great product!

It fits perfectly and it’s really nice having the straw capability to drink from. It is sent with two straws and a straw cleaner, which is really nice.

This is a repeat purchase for me-not because the original one didn't hold up but because it worked and held up so well! I first discovered this during covid while searching for a straw top that was covered, easy to use and clean, and required minimal touching to operate. This was perfect for my work water bottle at that time and now for a different size bottle for the gym. I highly recommend this straw bottle top!

The first one I bought cracked on the black plastic where the handle part hinges. It was still usable but I was worried it would start leaking or getting looser. I liked it enough that I went ahead and ordered another of the same lid though. Prefer these types with a built in straw and can close down flat. The handle is nicely flexible as well

Purchased to replace the original cap to my 40oz wide mouth hydroflask. Easy to use. I like the flip top cap to protect it from dust and dirt on the mouth piece, while I use it at work. I appreciate the cleaning brush that came with the product to help with maintenance.

Fits perfectly, no leaks, great sturdy material. Doesn't smell like melted plastic or diesel fuel.

If you *never* drop your water bottle, this lid may work for you. For the rest of us real people, get something else. I ordered this item, one lid broke in shipping. Requested a replacement. Second set arrived in good shape, but were both broken within a week of normal use. Super disappointing waste of money and time waiting for the original order, the replacement, and now having to get another item instead.
