Tidy Up! Wire Bin (Military Green): Cable Organiser/Spike Buster Box/Desk Organiser/Hide Wires

First picture, tidy. Second picture, disaster! This bin is so great. I hesitated as the price seemed steep, but it is so worth it. Well made and well designed. It fits your standard surge strip with plenty of room for coiling up that meter of cord you are going to trip over tomorrow morning, for sure. I keep the little lamp on mine as the weird switch on that now gets kept neatly on the side of the bin. I no longer have to fight the cord snake to turn on the light! Now, I can comfortably charge my phone while bumming around on the couch writing Amazon reviews, but not feel like I am living in some slums startup bachelor accommodation. Hard side eye to the husband for knowing what that looks like. He groaned when I ordered this, but even he agrees it looks, well, tidy!

At first, I would like to tell you that this box is much bigger than what I expected (u can refer the dimensions). But if it would have been smaller then it would be more difficult to arrange the plugs inside it. In my use case it does a good job of hiding all the wires coming to my monitor (monitor plug and adapter, VGA Cable, usb hub, webcam wire and adapter for router) as you can see in the image. But, it itself is very much visible and you cannot hide it. Build Quality is good and it is sturdy. But since it is just a box its price (₹599) is very overpriced and there are no other products like this which are cheaper. I would suggest that you buy this only when you have to hide a lot of wires which are creating a mess, otherwise if you only want to hide a few wires then this might not be useful as it is itself very big (in this case i would suggest you to buy a wire hiding sleeve which you can get on amazon).

Pros: 1) Big: Can easily swallow a 4 outlet spike buster and 3 big laptop adapter's and a mobile phone charger. 2) Good quality plastic. Initially I thought it will break on adding the adapters due to the weight but it held on well. The glossy finish is a nice touch and matches well with my desk which has a black glass top. Cons: A bit pricey considering the same thing can be done by a jugaad type 'adjustment' by buying any cheap plastic box of a similar size and cutting holes for wires. But this approach will make the jugaad look clumsy - one has to pay for the elegant finish this product gives the desk. Overall I am happy with the results and hence giving it a well deserved 5 star rating.

The material is strong and glossy plastic. Feels and looks good on the table. The lid locks perfectly, it is neither too tight nor too loose. I have innumerable cables on my desk which was such an eyesore. Now this box hides everything beautifully. You can even place a couple of toys or small artificial plants on top of the box to give your desk an even more complete look. The only con I think is that since it is glossy black, it will act as a dust magnet. It might need frequent wiping.

The product quality is great. Color (i bought white) is great. But there should have been more thought given to size of this product. The height of this product is small if you want to fit an extension plug with a large adapter. I have an extension box with less than 3cm height and a macbook adapter. Together placed inside this box they exceed the height by a lot and I couldn't close the lid. I had to buy macbook charger extension plug just so to fit the items inside. Same goes with my samsung 25w charger. I had to bend the charger cable (not good for the cable) just to close the lid. This seems like a very common use case for it. It should have minimum of 14Cm height i believe for things to fit in naturally without bending wires.

It's built with good material and is very sturdy. There are two downsides if you plan to place your extension box inside- 1. The opening through which your extension box's cord will come out of this bin is not all the way to bottom. This means your extension box will not fully sit on the floor of this bin. Also, the opening is right in the middle of this bin- this will not be a problem if your extension box's cord also comes out of the center. But if it's to the side, the extension box might not sit well completely. 2. This bin should've been a few inches taller. If you have any chargers that are tall - especially a MacBook pro charger, you will not be able to close the lid of this bin if you place your charger inside this bin. That was a big downside for me. Otherwise, the product is of very good build quality. Please measure your chargers and extension box's before buying this.

Product The product is solid and sturdy. It does it's job brilliantly. Space The product can hold a 4 pin or a 5 pin connector easily. I use a 4 pin connector. As you can see from the image, I have kept an additional Power Bank, an old laptop charger with the adapter inside and there is still space. In short, it's spacious. Height This is where the product failed to meet my specific requirement, hold my Mac Charger. As you see in the image, the top portion doesn't close completely. While this isn't a damaging aspect, the aesthetics goes out of the window. If you are not using a Macbook charger and if you are not concerned about the aesthetics, then this is a must have in your desk.

Pros: 1. Plesently surprised by more volume than I expected (even though I saw the dimensions mentioned for the product before purchasing) 2. Glossy black finish: hides when you want it hidden and looks classy if you can't hide it behind/ under something 3. Amazing build quality (hard plastic build) Cons: 1. It's a finger-print magnet, but unless you use it for something like a spike-guard extention cover where you need to keep touching it time and again, you're sorted Tips for optimal use (IMHO): 1. Use cable ties/ twist-ties/ velcro ties to hold folded cables/ bunchel of cables together before putting it inside for optimum space usage 2. Pre-plan wire directions and use the side-panel to route cable both ways (if you need to, that is)

I ordered the product on Amazon a few weeks ago it was fantastic. Earlier I had a lot different wires and a very messy desk but tidy up has really just changed the look of my table. All the speaker, monitor and computer wires now neatly fit on the desk. I am going to buy 4 more for other such cluttered areas in the house. I highly recommend it to anyone who is trying to have a clean setup.

Great product, exactly what you expect and need and a lot cheaper than other products that do the same thing. Must have for any OCD freak like me!

Sleek and clean "wire bin" product - this product helped me organize my living area and hide messy wires that gather dust and look unkempt. Now my space is tidy and neat! It was really easy to use the product - the before and after pictures were literally two minutes apart.

If you're looking for a way to conceal wires such that it fits with your interiors, you really should get these. They're brilliant and the quality was surprisingly excellent. This is a sturdy, convenient and well designed product. Really happy I took the leap.

it works great! lid stays on. this will accomodate a medium surge protector with a few large plugs in it. A large 11 or 12 plug surge protector will not fit in this box.
